LOL. I'd sacrifice any drift I get to be as good as him any day of the week.

Having the high arm action he did, it would be pretty hard to get substantial drift - if anything, the ball seemed to float into the pads at times, instead of sliding away from the right hander through the air. Saying that, it really helped him get a lot of rip, and because he starts the ball a long way outside off and brings the ball into off stump, or just outside, it makes him really hard to play.

How much difference is there between this standard of cricket and the U19 squad? I wouldn't imagine it'd be all that different really, just maybe a few less no balls and wides and a smaller margin for error as a bowler.

Can I ask, how did you get into the U-19 squad? As in...where did you get noticed/try out/what garde cricket where you playing etc? Just interested :)

Just on Callum Ferguson....I'd love to know the stats about guys notching FC centuries before they turn 21 (Callum Ferguson has two) and how many go on to play for Australia. I'd imagine the ratio would be quite high. I know, of the current team, Hayden; Ponting; Martyn; Clarke; Watson all did. And, recently retired players like Slater and Steve Waugh. Anyway, I always think it's a great sign.

I guess I got selected in the initial squad of 28 for the side from the National U/19 carnival. And the Victorian side was picked from a mixture of performance in the Grade competition, performance in trial games, and past performances for Victorian underage sides.

Then after the initial squad was picked, we had a few camps in Brisbane where the powers that be "cast their eye" over us, and then it was picked on the needs of the side (there were only 2 [plus one all-rounder who bowled spin, and a lot of batsmen who bowled part-time stuff] spinners in the 28), your grade performances and how you went in the National Carnival.

Fantastic to see Martyn scoring runs, hope he continues & gets back into the Australian test side sooooooooon.

For all those who saw these games how did Dizzy, Cullen & Ferguson look?

I must admit, Im getting confused with the three from SA Dan Cullen, Callum Ferguson and Cullen Bailey. Why did they all have to be born at once?!

Its their respective parent's choices really and I think we should not question that right ;)

I am not surprised to see Martyn score runs. A bad patch which happens to every one should not have meant that he was dropped from the Aussie team.

I have mentioned this some where and it still bafles me how he was dropped from the test side.

If the Redbacks can win games like the one against NSW, I am in for a long season.

Fancy letting Bracken get an edge....terrible.
