Well, I guess this is payback for us chasing those massive totals against them in 2013 LOL. A few players really failed to hold their nerve under pressure at the end there.

This match is going to do India a lot of good imo. They have major flat track problems in that on a pitch like this, they can get annihilated by a more rounded batting team dissimilar to their own top heavy one. Lots of thinking to do. If this had happened first game of the WC, there would have been no coming back from it.

This felt different to those tbh. Usually these huge chases come off the back of a really really fast start which means you can kind of keep the RRR reasonable, but here it really felt that they just tried to bat as normally as they could for the majority and try to turn it into a shortened T20. Clearly, it worked.

I guess the ideal type of pitch for this Indian team is one where 300 is about par and with a bit of help for the spinners. Don't want early swing either given how top heavy our batting lineup is.

Huge for Oz not just in winning but in the belief this gives them going forward. This tour has been useful in giving them belief and momentum after r 18 months of ODI mediocrity.

I don't think people should overreact regarding India's WC hopes based on this. I mean, no team has been exactly flawless in recent times. England failed to beat WI, got smashed in the last ODI and struggled to defend 419 in another match. NZ lost 4-1 to an Indian team with a few rested.

Shankar underbowled today. Kohli should have figured it out in real time. Pant not good enough with the gloves. Can't afford it. Bhuvi undone again in the last overs. He should be bowled out by the 40th.
Bit of a knee jerk this, Bhuvi’s actually been good at the death. Doesn’t matter anyways as Shami will start.

Shankar wasn’t underbowled either imo. He’s the friendliest medium pacer I’ve seen in ages and him coming on first change goes a long way in letting the opposition get their eye in.

Anw, will give bums and the wristies a free pass because of the dew and their history of consistency.

Australia seemed to have flicked on a switch and taken the attack to Jadhav in the last couple of games. Bit worrying.

Shankar was underbowled not because he is good but because of the dew factor for spinners.

Bhuvi hasn't been good at the death in the games I have seen. Maybe missed the ones he's been good in.

expect more such performances from Aus in the WC
They have the habit of peaking at the right time. Can't remember Aussies ever having a poor world cup. I would say a strong favorite for reaching semifinals and from there, it is just a matter of doing what they have been historically good at,

With Maxy being the x factor, finch 93 and handscomb, khawaja 100s, I guess Smarsh and Turner will now make way for Warner and Smith in 15 man squad
Well Turner really stuffed this up....must be in the WC...Smarsh still out but who else...finch, khawaja, handscomb, Turner, Maxwell, stoinis all deserve, so maybe they need to carry 8 bats
