There is little to say of this tour
which is quickly becoming a bore.
With Brad batting at six,
I can't stop the word 'fix'
coming into my head, that's for sure.

Brilliant stumping by Taibu. Took the ball at around shoulder height (for him anyway) at 125kph, got the bails off quickly. 323/8, Gillespie's career best.

Loony BoB

International Captain
Fifteen overs and forty-eight runs
One bullet hit from four Aussie guns
Still many runs left to chase
For Zimbabwe to save face
Lucky the Aussies only made two half tons.

Er, or something. Maybe I'll leave the lymericks to ed.

Oh if someone would pay me to write -
if the word was my friend, not the byte.
But that's clearly absurd.
There's two bytes in a word -
I'd just be half as good. Am I right?

Linda

International Vice-Captain
Now you know your team's a joke,
When their order go's up in smoke,
And they can bat a star like Marto way down the list..

Then you cant make any runs,
And your fans ain't havin' fun,
(Wish bloody Boof would go away, he's like a cyst.)

But now you'll want to save your face,
Or else be called a prime disgrace,
And your label of Test goes into history's fading mist.

Ok, some of my rhymes are questionable.

*cough*denniss lillee is a moron, there's no other explanation*cough*

McGrath looks pretty good from what I've seen. Watto sent down some good stuff today, but wasn't rewarded (as usual). I hope he's retained for the ICC trophy.

I wonder who will open today? I assume Gilchrist will. I think Clarke was listed earlier, but Symonds might also get a chance.

McGrath wasn't bad today, put the ball in the right places most of the time and beat the edge alot. Got it up into the 130's regularly.
Brad Hogg threw the ball over Gilchrist's head for four.
Chigumbura was brilliant to watch - I particularly enjoyed his front/back-foot straight drive/slog sweep for six off Symonds. Can't find words to describe it really.

No, it was not a case of throw the bat and hope for the best. He did the same off Hogg as well, with the same result. He also played a similar shot several times for four.

End of over 9 (19 runs) Australia 69/1 (RR: 7.67 RRR: 128/41 = 3.12)
T Mupariwa 2-0-23-1 - City End
A Symonds 1* (1b) MJ Clarke 17* (26b 4x4)

8.6 Mupariwa to Symonds, one run, good ball as its edged to third man.
pitched and left Symonds
8.5 Mupariwa to Gilchrist, OUT: goes for broke, succeeds as he inside
edges to let his middle stump suffer

Australia 68/1, Partnership of 68
AC Gilchrist b Mupariwa 44 (27b 7x4 1x6)
MJ Clarke 17* (26b 4x4) T Mupariwa 1.5-0-22-1

Symonds walks in
8.4 Mupariwa to Gilchrist, FOUR, On Fire!, square cuts a widish ball
past point
8.3 Mupariwa to Gilchrist, FOUR, Slam! a similar shot as ball1 and
again Clarke saves himself
8.2 Mupariwa to Gilchrist, SIX, an uppercut type of flick and it sails
over the fine leg rope
8.1 Mupariwa to Gilchrist, FOUR, Golly! slammed right back and Clarke
escaped, ball rushes over the long off rope

Very Interesting over.
