as for the tall poppy syndrome, it just seems to me from my limited time here that every one will take every chance to cut down on Australia.
If by any chance, you directed that at me, let me tell you that you have the wrong impression. I have enough respect for Australia. I give them as much as they deserve. You can judge how much they "deserve."

As for the game on hand, I agree with you, Langer and Hayden just whipped them out of the game, right now. Things need to be done

Anyway, what does:

slag the **** out of your teammates
mean? Is it Aussie slang, because I've never heard of it. All I heard about what Caddick did was that he showed someone in the crowd the middle finger...

Well to be honest I dont see what hourn is saying that is upsetting everybody he has given credit were credit is due and he does not have to share the same opinion about certain players that you people might want him to thats his right.

As for Brett Lee I dont have a problem with him staying in the test side even if he does not deserve his spot on performance because we can afford to carry him and in the long term he should come through.

From what I have heard Lee has been working very hard on improving his performance in Test cricket working with Lilie & Thompson on changing his trajectory and angel to the crese as long as he is working hard then he is allright.

the tall poppy syndrome comment wasn't directed at you krkode - Its just something i've noticed in general on these forums.

by the Slagged the **** comment, Caddick basically just abused his own teammates out in front of the crowd when they walked off the Adelaide oval - apparantely a very ugly site.

Well I have no memory of this...

You would have thought something so well known in Australia would actually be mentioned to us, the supporters of the team he plays for, wouldn't you? ;)

I would but the Windies prospects are not all that great. If they were, I would be saying so.
Sarwan and Gayle are really not worth that much are they...neither is Baugh. However, I was more referring to the overall prospects of the team.

Even Michael Holding wrote in the paper a column bagging the current Windies team and how disapointed he was with the current crop of players, especially the bowling.
Well, what I will say is that Mikey Holding is a massive hypocrite, because that's not what he's said here in the Windies.

Besides, I have lost alot of respect for the opinions of Holding recently, after he basically said Lara was past it....just before Sri Lanka, as well as similar Hooper criticism....before India in the WI. We all saw how those views were totally verified.

I've just read a report at Cricket365.com about Jermaine Lawson & his bowling action, apparently Mike Procter is set to review it.

How bad is Lawsons action? is it blatant or are the media overhyping this?

It seems bad enough to only give their 7-wicket man 6 overs! :O

How aweful is that? Having to sit out your 7-wicket man for the whole innings. That's gotta have hurt  Apparently it has...

His action is a bit suspect but some other bowlers have even more suspect actions and so his shouldn't be a problem

it really doesn't bother me that response, and that you guys are willing to right me off as some fool, but the fact is I do know what I go on about and I dont hold back on my thoughts - I don't take the diplomatic "oo yea Bangladesh have some potential" line.

On Lawson's action - I reckon its OK but there is some hyperextension in the same way there is for Akhtar and Lee.

And this series can only not be a whitewash if there is rain - even the great Brian Lara can't save them from this one.

Ok well I watched the test match and I am not sure if Caddick was having ago at his team mates or somone else in the crowd but he was facing his team when he made the gestuers so one could easly think that maybe he was having a go at them but no one really knows but Caddick.

And how the hell woul you and marc know you did not even watch the Ashes live.

It was not maken a big deal of so I dont see why anybody would have mentioned it to you ether.

Maybe it was simply a friendly gesture? Why do you think he was actually "slagging the ****" out of them?

With the press and their seeming dislike of Caddick over here, it would have made the newspapers and more than likely the national news (not just the sports sections).

Hence we can kind of assume that nothing of note really happened.
