Awful umpiring though lets face it. Hit the top of the pad with the batsman jumping. Lack of basic cricketing common sense which is worrying in an umpire.
This is a real test for our youngsters, let's see what they're made of. As for our bowling, I thought we were let down by Shannon Gabriel who let the pressure go at crucial times. I also thought JT was poor this afternoon. In hindsight Permaul should have played ahead of Gabriel but it's all very well saying that now, it would have been a brave call at the start of the match.
Tbf Adam Voges was brilliant, definitely one of the best debut innings I've seen.

Think it was Dujon on commentary who said Voges balances out the flair players like Warner, Smith and Clarke. It's good to have a boring but reliable guy when there's alot of stroke makers. He did play some nice shots to get to 100 when he thought he might get stranded tbf.

We are blessed with riches in the bowling department at the moment and that is why we'll get 20 English wickets on a regular basis in the upcoming Ashes series.
