As disheartening as it was to see the annoying git (cut me some slack, I'm English ) doing extremely well, I can take heart that it was a dustbowl and even MacGill did well. :P

Test will be most definitely when he has to play on pitches that don't do things for average spinners.

But for now, well done to the man on 500 wickets and a quality comeback appearance.

As a cricket fan its great to see Warne back. He's been my favourite player for years and its good to see him fit and playing well, and 550 wickets is a milestone well deserved.

Pity we couldn't watch this test series in England although I did have a fiver on Australia at the end of day 2, at favourable odds. Cheers lads

Superb victory by Aus. That last innings of Sl would have been worth watching with Warne and MacGill in tandem. Nice to see Martyn return to form just in the nick of time. Go Warney !!!!!

Eeeeeyyyohhhh, harima sowthuy!:!( Sorry guys please excuse my momentary cursing in Sinhala. What was up with Sri Lanka maan? This was another classic case of, yes you got it, MURALITHARAN RELIANCE! Admittedly he utilised the pitch excellently in the first innings but we cannot rely on him for everything. Our bowling attack was a shambles. Only 2 specialist bowlers were selected. Why? SL selectors know that the Galle pitch is a big dry, spinner. But you cannot expect substandard spinners like Chandana, Jayasuriya and Dharmasena to exploit it fully against the might of Australians. We definitely should have played another pace bowler such as Zoysa for variety, and a specialist spinner like Niroshan Bandaratilleke or Dinuka Hettiarachchi. As for our batting, it really is a one man show in tests, our new superstar Tillakaratne Dilshan (with a bit of Jayawardene and Sangakkara). The experience of Atapattu and Jayasuriya never seem to produce any more at test level. To be honest they are not up to it and are just picked on their status. Get rid of Jayasuriya out of the test team, for Sri Lanka's state. We are better off with a younger but more suitable batsman for tests such as Russel Arnold, Michael Vandort or Jehan Mubarak.
Hashan Tillakaratne captaincy, to put it lightly is C*rap! He sets defensive, safe field positions when the opposition is under pressure. All credit to the Australian guys, they punished our substandard bowling attack and Shane Warne really initiated a ridiculous collapse.

At times like this my confidence is very low in Sri Lanka. They start off a test match brilliantly in first few days, then they relax, they relax! HOW CAN YOU BE COMPLACENT AND SOFT ON AUSTRALIANS? Please SL selectors, sack grampa Hashan Tillekaratne and put in a good aggressive thinker like Kumar Sangakkara. It is time for Sri Lankans to let go of the stereotype that the WC 96 winners are gods who must be selected for every match otherwise the team is cursed. If they do not perform up to the tough modern standards they must be kicked out! :!(
