**Official** Australia in Sri Lanka

you cant compare them particularly well, Warne hasn't got to bowl on the turning Sri lankan wickets 1/2 his career like Murali...

Rodney Hogg played against Warne in the Victorian Club comp when Warne was 20. Hogg was impressed and wrote in his column in the Melbourne Truth that Warne would take 600 test wickets. The editor was not so impressed and sacked Hogg.

The Truth was a classy paper (maybe still is) famous for its page 3 girls.

I am probably going to regret this, but I am going to say Australia will win the 2nd Test and seal the series. Goes against everything I said before the tour, but hell, I am Aussie so lets win this one!

Australia could go in unchanged. I feel if Williams comes in, so does Katich. Then again Katich may come in on his own right.

Australia win the toss and bat first.

Australia unchanged.

Gunawardene, Zoysa and Lokuarachchi come in. Dharmasena is carrying the drinks.

Aus 17/0.

Zoysa has bowled so well and has deserved the wicket of Hayden but was dropped by the captain.

Langer has played and missed about four or five times from Zoysa and Vaas.

And here's a case of did you know:

1) This is Langer's 250th FC match; and

2) This ground is actually a school ground as it is owned by the Trinity Collage. So Kumar Sangakkara is playing on his old school ground.

Imagine that!

Langer gone LBW b Zoysa for 3. Padding up without offering a shot. He had to go and he did.

Hayden braking lose...

Australia 61-4.

Hayden 36*, Symonds 0*.

Martyn out plumb LBW b Murali for 1. Ponting made 10 lbw b Vaas. Lehmann as per usual got bowled while wlking around the crease for 8 b Zoysa.

Also, I think Lehmann needs to re-acquaint himself with where his stumps are. I know that it's one thing to get bowled on leg stump when a spinner turns it a lot from outside off, but you shouldn't get bowled that way twice in a row, let alone by a quick bowler.

My old coach's rectum would have prolapsed if I'd done that in a school match.

Gilchrist gone for another duck! Australia in big trouble now...Hayden the only one putting up any resistance, and he is lucky to be there.

Gilchrist not moving his feet again.

Boy, this might be a fast game - I'd probably feel a little better about things if we had more than two pacemen, but we'll see what happens.

I feel sorry for Gilly - he clearly hasn't got a clue. I wonder if the Aussies will make it past 100?

Congratulations Murali, great accomplishment to make it to 500 and he has plenty more time to go. What a beauty of a ball to pick up your 500th too. Clean bowled Kaspa. Takes the final catch to dismiss Warne off Vaas and he keeps the ball, well deserved Murali. :)

Australia all out for 120 and if Sri Lanka play intelligently they can square this series.

So are the boys both on 501 then?

Also, I wonder if this could be the downfall of Andrew Symonds' Test career... I mean I like the guy in ODIs and I know its only his second Test, but I can't see him having a long and inspiring Test career to be honest. He just doesnt fit the bill, and theres plenty of people waiting in line.

Well well well, the cricketing world appears to have turned on it's head. ;)

Australia whittled out for 120 and England bowl out West Indies for 47 and win by 10 wickets.

The power has shifted, there is a new world leader....8D :P :D

I think one thing we all should have learnt in the past few days is that you cannot taken anything for granted... just because SL are 30/1 now doesnt mean they wont be 50 all out:D
