Enlighten me...

Who is the better team out of England and Australia?
thats not the point....the point im trying to make here is that england with a much worse team(bowling attack that includes giles batty anderson kirtley etc) did much better than the aussie team despite all their star batsmen. so what does that say abt the aussies?
1. they cant play on slow wickets(something that still holds true)
2. ponting is not a very good captain(he hasnt been tested until now has he?)

im quite sure that if england played australia in sri lanka it would be evenly matched and im looking forward to seeing india kick the the living daylights out of australia in india

anybody wanna bet that gilchrist wont score even a single 50 this series?

At least let the man finish his first Test before you jump to conclusions!

and this is just 2 days into the series...sometime i wish people would just think about what they are saying before they post it..how on earth can you make such judgements so early on in the series

Gilchrist has more chance of getting a 50 then he does of taking a catch. Gichrist's efforts last night were nothing short of sub-standard.

No confirmation on this, but I just heard that Brett Lee has broken down and is heading home to Australia...

edit: whoops, didn't realize someone had made a thread on this already. :)

This is pathetic you are saying this before he has even captained one full match.

He has been brilliant as skipper in ODI's and dont give me any of that he has not been tested crap because he has on many occasions and coped very well under the pressure.

And Warne has 496.

Murali needs to take 9 wickets in this innings or hopes Warne doesnt another wicket or least them four wickets in SRL's 2nd innings.

Will be interested whether Kaspa bats or not.

Well yesterday I would have said Murali. Now I think Warne will just get there.

I am intrigued. :D

As I write, Murali comes on. Does he have an answer?

that's what everyone said at the beggining of the VB series and by the end of it he was smashing 4's all around the park every time he came out to bat!

and i too thought murali would get to the 500 mark first yesterday but Warne seems chuffing along at quite a rate, so now it looks like he'll there first.

Oh dear - that's a fairly large loss - who's going to take the New Ball - Symmo?

I would open with Warne.

Sri Lanka opened with a spinner and Warne has shown before he can bowl effectivly with the new ball.
