Did Dippenaar really deserve MoM? Just got it by default I guess. At least he cancels out Katich.

Dips was placed on a drip during our second innings. There was quite a bit of humidity but come on, how soft is he? Hate to see what playing in India might to do the lad, he'll prolly need one getting to the hotel from the airport..

Any one can have such a problem in a given match. Not related to softness. It was really hot and humid I would imagine considering players were even sweating even under lights.

Good game i thought, both theams played hard to get a victory.. it was much needed for Australia as they were already 2-1 down..
anyway sad to see polly couldn't finish his spell, as he had a back strain (hopefully he is able to play the decider) and what can i say about telemachus, he bowled south africa into the game.. it was excellent..
glad to see roy make a return, as he showed his true ODI abilites..

Why is Graeme Smith soo annoying?

He's now saying Australia were choking in the match. Now I said in my post "Australia nearly choked" but you don't say what Smith did when you lost. Basicly what he's saying is that Australia, when they choke, are better than South Africa. Fair enough.

I mean he's just ridiculous with his attempted sledging. He acts like an Australian sledger, he can't back it up and looks silly. He's always acting as if he captains the best team in the world and saying something to back it up. Like SA lost in Australia because they had injuries... insted of asking every player on the team to be accountable for his spot. I guess what he said it fair. But in South Africa he's now acting, with Australia missing many of the most key players, as if they have the wood on Australia."

I can understand he's a young captain wanting to be the best in the world... but he just tries to hard and looks silly. His comments make him look stupid.

Sorry is this the same Telemachus who is apparently rubbish?
Because I don't follow South African cricket or anything, I actually hadn't heard of him before the matches in which he played...

Haha fair enough. He`s done well in the 20/20 form I think. He`s best when doesn`t bowl too full as he often tends to do IMO.

I'll tell you what, for Aussie television viewers, it will be great when the ODI's finish and the Test series starts. The day-night games are absolute killers! At least the Test matches finish at a much more reasonable hour.

Well, no. Most Aussie television viewers don't have Foxtel. :(

Like me..:(

Ponting said to the media yesterday that for the first time he wasn't using the Kahuna graphite-backed bat, so I'm just wondering if anyone who has Foxtel or SuperSport could tell me what bat he was using instead...

I just read in the paper that it`s the last time he`s using it in the match today. When the Tests Start, a non-uber-cool bat will be used. :)

Yeah, definately. 7:30 am finishes are a bit tough. The game today isn't so bad though, should finish around 3.

Least the weather looks decent for tonight. Im going to tip Australia. I think they'll be a little more relaxed tonight than South Africa, which I think is a huge factor in big games. The thing I love about the South African team is how much winning means to them, and how much losing wounds them. However, paradoxically, this seems to hamper them in big games, as they tend to want to win almost too much, and this can manifest itself in some basic errors. That's the impression I get anyway. Nevertheless, let's hope tonight is a fitting denouement to a great series.

Anyway, good start here from Australia. Lewis is in the team again unfortunately, while the team the Saffies has looks pretty much the strongest they can do without Nel or Pollock.

Edit: Australia currently 0/61 after 9, with 10 fours hit so far.
