Wow, unbelievable match that. Had everything.

I really thought it was over when Lee got out. Bracken can bat, but 27 to get with the ball reversing and Telemachus bowling extremely well just seemed like too many. Really heroic stuff from Clark though.

Also a great knock from Symonds, even though he didn't see it through, and Telemachus and Kallis bowled great spells.

Bird impressed me a great deal in the ING cup final. The first time I'd seen him bowl a good spell and he was extremely dangerous. Swing and pace and surprisingly accurate. He was outshone at the end of the day by Tait, but Bird was the one who won NSW the game.
well thats good to hear..

Great game - I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Australian chase. So many twists and turns, and the result in doubt right until the end.

Top bowling by Telemarketingscamus, typical Symonds knock too (complete with Clown-like finish just to keep the game interesting).

So when are you going to start supporting Rosebud or some other football team off the Australian pools coupon?

WOW! Australia nearly choked.

Symonds did not need to play that shot, and he put unnecessary pressure on the tail! One of those games where both sides would think they should have won. I guarentee you, Australia will start some sledging on-field in the last game, the word "choke" will be mentioned.

Symonds and Hussey could have seen them home easily, but there was poor running and stupid shots. I thought SA had it won. Symonds seems to find it easy against South Africa, like they bowl it where he likes it.

The presentations afterwards were amusing...

First you have Graeme Smith saying it shows how close the teams are when they are at full strength. This ignores a certain person Australia left home who, even when he's out of form, rarely goes for more than 40 runs a game and happens to be one of the best seamers ever. You just know Smith, in his heart, is using the excuse of "we didn't have Nel, Kallis or Ntini in Australia."

Then you have Ponting saying that Australia did good, but aren't playing close to their best right now. Ponting doesn't seem to be able to accept that if Australia didn't play well, it's because they weren't good enough.

The two worst captains to listen to the world.

 , well to be fair to ponting australia have been almost close to their best in the last 2 games, they made SA come close to them tonight with some stupid shots, after the start they got they should have won pretty easy.

Who's gonna win the last game of the series?

Oh and I'm convinced Symonds make a massive difference...

Damn good match, had everything in it. Looked like Aus were comfortably cruising when Symonds was around and then with Symonds and Lee gone quickly looked like their goose is cooked. Full credit to Bracken and Clark realizing that they had enough deliveries and decided to put their heads down and bat. Great game indeed.

Has the momentum in this series swung completely now? Will be interesting to see how Safs respond in the last match.

What a match. I watched the last 30 overs or so. Cricket was the real winner in it. Thank god RSA didnt lose cos of the rain but cos of persistent Aussie tail batting. Also, I thought the umpiring was superb in tight conditions, and it was excellent cricket all the way despite not being extra ordinary. A superb contest tilting from one end to the other.

Brianless? Which one? Lara? Close? Statham? :p
All of them. That's why it was Brianless. If it had a Brian, it wouldn't be Brianless. Try to keep up, Matt.

What did you bet on this time? And in future can you let us know what you bet on so I can make some money and bet on the opposite result.

When you don't listen to a friends advice this is what happens.

Give your money to me next time you think of betting on cricket. I will have some samosas.

What a huge victory. Was Bracken swinging the ball early on? Great to see him get two wickets. Lewis certainly shut all of you up for a bit, at least until the next match. :D

Symonds makes such a big difference to the team. And then for Clark to bat the way he did.

I really hope this series goes on DVD, especially if the last game is a thriller. It`s been a very good ODI series.
