They just said on the radio that Langer is coming to the ground at midday and may be able to bat if Australia needs him.
great news Australia will need all their batting resources to get this target.

since the ashes most of the runs have come from the blades of Ponting, Hayden & Hussey it would be good if some of the other blokes could up the anti & take Australia home in this test.

Yeah, they do seem to be relying more upon one or two players to pull them out of trouble, but the team has been changing a bit (Hodge and Martyn, Langer's injuries), so that can add a bit of turmoil to it all.

A few lucky escapes for Hussey in the morning. Two close LBW calls, one of which was probably out and wasn't given because the umpire thought it was bat-pad instead of pad-bat. Then he was caught behind and given not out. Only doubt on the catch was that Boucher didn't seem to be too sure it carried, judging by his half-hearted appeal.

Martyn and Hussey looking good now though. Going to be a very interesting finish, and Australia will been Symonds and Gilchrist to contribute if they are going to get there.

Bucknot has been making poor decisions for a good while now againts all teams & i've been calling for him to retire since the since the ashes, since he has made some shockers. So dont go throwing this `because its australia` nonsense at me..
So how come you never mentioned any of the decisions that went Australia's way then?

I assume it's just coincidence 8-)

I saw the Lee edge on the news that was caught at slip and given not out, and from what I saw it looked pretty much out. Then again, I only saw a very quick replay of it. And I had a laugh when I saw Warne get that wicket with a shocking full toss :D

That session put Australia very much in the box seat, you'd have to say.

It's a new ball wicket still, so the second new ball will be South Africa's last chance to really make a run at winning the game. It's still 23 overs away though, so it's unlikely to come long before stumps, and at the rate Martyn and Hussey are scoring now they'll be within 50 or so comfortably.

So I'd say South Africa need at least a couple of wickets before the new ball to have a real chance.

superb batting by Hussey & Martyn in this session. If Australia have a good hour after lunch they could win this today.

Marto and Huss...excellent. I really like this partnership. Both excellent techniques and well equipped with the understanding what to leave and what to play. Must seem daunting to bowlers to try and get them out. Well also, in fairness, Huss has got lucky more than his fair share this game.

Hussey brings up another 50. Has this man done anything wrong!?
i think he made a duck in the VB series:laugh: , but he has been totally superb, i got a feeling Clark in the next year is going to do with the ball what Hussey has done with bat.

Very unlikely. Hussey is an incredible athlete who can dominate attacks and do no wrong. Clark is a steady performer who will do well at times like here against South Africa but never do anything really spectacular, just enough to stay in the team.

Who's this female commentator on ABC Grandstand? She sounds attractive.

If I win the Greig award so be it, but watch out for Nicky. He foxed the master Hussey in the first innings, he can do it again :p
AND HE DOES!

Whooo

Okay maybe not te match-winner bit, but he got Hussey again :D
