Something i've noticed though. This is a really low run rate by Australia's standards for a test match, 2.9 at the moment, well down given they usually average around 4 an over.

Conditions may have something to do with that.

Yeah, but surely this is due to the wicket.

The RR for this match has been around the 2.3 mark for the majority of the time, due to Pollock and some wide, wasteful new-ball bowling from others, in good seaming conditions. I`m impressed that the Aussies have adapted and played it smartly. The RR only started to increase when Warne entered the building.

Typical of his recent test form really.
well he has had a big weakness exposed since the ashes & he hasn't been able to counter it fully. I wouldn't say he has been losing it because his OD form has been good while he his 90 odd in the super test & 86 in the SCG showed that he still has it, as i said just needs to find away to counter the `round-the wicket tactic` which bowlers have cooked up againts him lately.

I know this is a big call, but at the present time time (notice I didnt say over a career of 100 tests or against all countries in all conditions), Hussey is the equal of any batsman in the world.

No doubt it helps that Ponting is scoring mountains of runs above him and that few have seen him play in test match cricket but his technique is rock solid and he seems to have an answer for any questions posed of him.

Hussey`s only evident weakness is a full-ball moving away from him. But most of them he laps onto anyway. :D
