Quicks off, spinners on

Pace on the ball aids the batsmen on this dung heap

There have been far too many dot balls to Hales, again. It's been a problem all series actually.

really bad captaincy this from Smith...save Agar's 10 for later after the powerplay...England isn't running away with the match yet...Cummins who should've bowled the 2nd over comes on after the debutant Agar

Putting pressure on a debutant spinner by telling him to bowl in the 9th over isn't the way to go

Absolutely nothing in it for quick men so pointless persisting

If anything, the opening bowlers were kept on too long

I really want Agar to be good at ODI cricket. I don't usually love watching left arm spinners but he's pretty to watch when he's bowling well - doesn't just bowl darts at leg (well, not on purpose anyway) - and his batting and fielding make him a good overall cricketer too. Doherty's ODI bowling is/was probably a bit under-rated on CW but there was never a lot to enjoy about his cricket once he got to international level; Agar could be a bit different.

Hey then pick 5 spinners to bowl 50

Cummins should've opened the bowling, and Agar should be tried as an aggressive spinner after the powerplay.

Hales just isn't very good, sure idiots will now be advocating Roy as Test opener, who is probably the same level first-class wise.

If Patto plays, he opens as he is a fast swing bowler

The question as to whether he should be in England at all is another issue

Roy doesn't even open for Surrey in the CC, so you should be pretty safe from that one.
At least Hales opens for Notts in D1, so there may be hope for him as a test opener.

Even when Roy plays well, he's **** and not international standard.

Bin him. Hopeless.
