Did you miss the thing where half of his face got caved in whilst fielding?Would have thought Henriques and Shaun Marsh were on the edge of the ODI squad on the basis of that game they played against England in January. But for whatever reason, the selectors have decided to move on post World Cup to younger players.Fair enough on Marsh, who isn't into his 30s (even though I would have loved to see him open the batting in this series)but harsh on Henriques, who's still in his 20s,had a gun IPL season and has been overlooked in favour of Marcus ****ing Stoinis.
Watson was an absolute gun in limited overs cricket for so long, so maybe not.Is Stokes the new Watson?
He hasn't yet achieved much to be compared to Watson TBH. More importantly, he should bat at no. 7; and not Ali.Is Stokes the new Watson?
Yeah, forgot about that.Just assumed he was fit again cause Rory Burns was back quick enough, but obviously not.Did you miss the thing where half of his face got caved in whilst fielding?
Taylor is that kind of no. 3 who the batting team doesn't want after 35 overs if there are too many wickets in hand.
Yep just another 9 centuries and 31 half centuriesIs Stokes the new Watson?
Moeen should be top 3 or not at all; too boundary reliant IMO. I'd be rolling with:I'd go for this top 7 for England, when everyone is fit
Roy
Taylor
Root
Morgan
Ali
Buttler
Stokes
Keeping Buttler at 6 because a dependable finisher is required there. Ali can counter the spinners when needed too.
