Whoah!

That ball by Irfan Pathan! :-O :D  :shocking:

I have never seen an Indian bowler do that in my whole time of watching Indian Cricket. Justin Langer was absolutely outdone and was completely bewildered! That ball would've made Wasim Akram proud!

Irfan Pathan is an absolute superstar. Coming from me, you can be sure that it's no exaggeration!

Well done Irfan!

If Clarke isn't ready, White sure as hell isn't. It is a crime that Love isn't in the squad, let alone playing in the first test.

I bet the selectors wish they had of had MacGill in the squad. He may of not performed well against India, but I'd rather have him there, as he is better than Lehmann, Katich & Clarke combined.
*Apparently*, apparently, Love and the management had a blow-up a while back.

That is just what I've heard though, certainly not concrete...

It's a massive exaggeration. Good ball yes - but he is no superstar in any way shape or form at this stage.

I should've said 'superstar in the making'. Because you cannot deny that, no matter what you may think of Irfan.

Well superstar or not, Justin Langer's dismissal was in no way his fault; that was an awesome delivery. It's kind of funny that even though Langer was so scratchy for most of that innings, it took a ripper of a ball to bring him undone. Shows what kind of a streetfighter he is.

And what's this about a blow-up with the management? Martin Love always looks so placid to me. Maybe he's on pot.

I don't think the selectors rate Martin Love's ability to play spin. I mean he got undone by...Omari Banks...

*Congratulations* Anil Kumble 400 Test-wickets!

Excellent, achieved in front of his home crowd with plenty of time to spare. Can't help feeling there'll be a few more to come in this match, too.

Kumble has been a true servant of Indian Cricket. He deserves every accolade he gets, he's been a true matchwinner for India and a very nice guy personally.

Well done to Anil!

I must say the prospect of a big Gilly Clarke partneship tomorrow is very appealing..

if they bat for another hour or so together India are in a bit of trouble.

Well deserved 400 for Anil Kumble !! :notworthy
A bowler who always gives his best for his country.

Unfortunately by the end of this test, It will be remembered for another spinner's landmark than Kumble's. :)

Australia definitely seems to have the advantage ATM. Congratulations to Michael Clarke on a patient, mature batting display. :clapping:

India also face the prospect of facing Warne on the 4th Innings on this pitch!

So, looks like a good day all round for most. Congratulations to Kumble, the man with quite possibly the longest arms Ive ever seen.
Im so excited for Clarke, you couldnt have asked for a much better start for him. No matter what happens tomorrow, he's done a bloody good job it sounds.
