**Official** Australia in India Thread

Got to hand it to Australia though, they came to India with some definite plans and have executed them brilliantly to all the Indian batsmen. They've had some luck on their side such as the Chennai Rain, LBW Decisions and what not, but one should not to overlook their champion performance in this series.

Well done to Australia, India really need to look at themselves and the composition of this side.

doesnt seem like IND batsmen care anymore, quite sad. Ponting will be back for final test, and will be mad on missing out on these victories and help inflict an even bigger victory for the final test.

Gilchrist finally doesn't drop a catch off Kasprowicz as he gets Kaif for his second.

Disapointing end to this test. :@

There goes number 5. Doesn't look like this will even go to a 5th day at the moment. Warne hasn't even had an over yet.

I don't think any of the Indian's give a crap about putting up a fight.

Its a pathetic display from a much 'praised' Indian lineup.

Personally, I think it is. It would just be so hard to drop Clarke now, and with people like Hodge, Watson and Hussey waiting in the wings...

After Lehman being injured and Clarke playing magnificent, is this the end of Lehman ???

Lehmann is a weird one. He was willing to give up his spot for Clarke, now that he is injured he says he is working hard to be available for the fourth test.

Marc I am going by this Indian Team's performances in the past 2 years.
When they have lost as many as they've won?

JASON said:
This series is a slight red herring in that SRT was injured for the 2 tests (and I have doubts if he has recovered fully to play this Test, despite his playing ATM ) and for this Test India has lost not one, not two but three of their key players.
Yes, and when people used the injuries to talk about Australia in the previous series, they were told it's no excuse.

JASON said:
If you say, India is not number 2, then please specify as to who you think is.
I don't think there is a clear number 2 at the moment, and I certainly don't rank India any more than middle of the table.

JASON said:
Because, IMO until England can do something against Australia in Australia and against SA in SA , none of the neutrals or cricket followers with a balanced neutral out look would rank them as the second best Test Team in the world !!
Well by that token, how can you rank a team with a record as average as India's as number 2?

The amount of times this is being brought up, anyone would think that India needed 5 to win with 10 wickets in hand when it rained.

The Indian public should start supporting hockey. They need the fans more than these over-rated cricketers. Fifty lakhs for doing what? The hockey players don't live the high life as much!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, we are an overrated cricket team, and I cannot believe its taken 35 years for Australia to beat India in India. It's been a long time coming.

Well Ponting may not be a sure thing to play. He obviously doesn't rate Hodge (neither do I)

I think there are only four people in Australia that do - Hohns, Border, Boon and Hilditch.

We? The team doesn't play for the country, but for Ranbir Singh Mahendra's BCCI. I never say "We", when I talk of this team, and not this team.

Patel is on fire!

It is important for India to not surrender meekly. If these two can bat out the day and a fair way into tomorrow, it should give India some (all be it little) confidence going into the last test.

BJ and Funky were talking about Patel opening the innings in the next test & possibly bringing in another keeper.
