Actually, I think it has more to do with age and his stubborness....check out the averages of # 3 batsmen over the age of 32Personally, I think Ponting's problems have less to do with technique or age or anything unrecoverable. They seem to be mental, and although he shows he's still got the stuff...as someone said earlier he keeps finding ways to get himself out. A bit of good form and then I'll bet he'll return to his frightening best.
Also, he's pretty much said "over my dead body" over being replaced at #3.
Next man up is Hughes then Khawaja then White then ...Hughes is yet to prove he can overcome the weakness which pretty much every bowler in the world knows about. You can't drop someone for something then pick them again without having rectified the thing for which they were dropped for.
Next man up is Klinger. Fair is fair.
Gambhir.. **** off you elfin ****...
Haha suck ****. Cut it in half. Refer it, ****!
He had the Badri avatar?I miss adharcric. He was gun. Seemed to get more and more cynical about the forum though to a point of just not coming anymore. Never have I seen someone delete so many of their own perfectly good posts.
I'm only new to this forum, but the people here seem really nice.Gambhir.. **** off you elfin ****...

If only there were some system that allowed umpires' decisions the be looked at again, eh?Personally, not that pleased to see the mistakes. Would just rather the game was settled on the basis of the performances of players...rather than umpiring decisions.
TBF when India were 350-odd for 4 with Sachin and Raina going I didn't give them a prayer.Australia at one point of the match were paying $48 for the win
yippie yippie woooApparently Laxman is right to bat if the radio reports are to be believed.
Yes the LBW Gunner gave to dismiss Hussey was very poor, presumably because it was so full he thought it pitched in line, but in truth it was some way from that. There were a lot of close shouts from Harbhajan today, and barring an early one against Katich that should have been given, Gunner was pretty strong in resisting their appeals, and rightly so in the main. Then the one he does give was probably the most unlikely one of the lot.If only there were some system that allowed umpires' decisions the be looked at again, eh?

Anyway, watched the highlights earlier. Great day's play; the ebb and flow was great, even if I only got a flavour of it. Super attacking innings from Watson with Katich Katiching about, then Sharma (FFS, Sharma!) pops up with three quick wickets and the innings never really recovered. Disappointing to see Gunner drop a couple of bollocks but think Bowden topped him with the Gambhir shout.
Please to see Hilf just something like his just rewards too; bowled really well in the first innings without reward.
Sachin the key tomorrow, obvz, as bleedin' obvious as that is. Gut instinct says Oz by 45-60 runs, but we'll see. Kinda refreshing to see an Indian test where the draw is pretty much now gone. Shows what I know as it was my shout at stumps on day 3.
In his defence, Michael Clarke hadn't even played a test before being named next captain. Paine has at least proven that he is Test-match capable first.WTF, India must be good as one good innings by Paine against them and he's labled as the next Aussie Test Captain lol
Tim Paine may be next Australian Test skipper | Herald Sun
Clarke should average 50.Oh yeh, of course... Australian probably won't find another Ponting for 20 or so years. But If we are lucky I think we'll be able to find other batsman who can average 50.
Anyways I'm gonna hit the sack...really looking forward to tmrw to see how it pans out.
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu........................apparently laxman is right to bat if the radio reports are to be believed.
Cricinfo adds the obvious caveat if required in which case that's not really anything new.fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu........................
as they say in India " Ghee Sakar tere muh meh".... " Sugar and butter in your mouth? " something along those lines.Apparently Laxman is right to bat if the radio reports are to be believed.
