Sorry, but the Ashes have been at stake ALL series when Warne has been bowling.
The Ashes has been at stake all series yes. But a draw would mean Australia would still be in the series in earlier matches. In the current match a draw is like a loss to Australia. Which calls for more catching positions.

Flintoff for MOS for mine. Winner takes the spoils and all that, and also, he was playing for the side that was the underdog coming in - he had so much to prove and did it against the world champions.

And Gillespie by unanimous vote is awarded the POS for his stellar performance..

McGrath and Warne bowling but nothing happening. Every one despairing.

Except a person who is yawning: Damien Martyn!

Matthews is only just starting to get worried for Australia. Ha.

EDIT: believe he said "Australia are really up against it."

Well done to England.. a very empty feeling at the moment... feel very deflated.

"The day Australia fell back down to earth"?

I'll wallow in my sorrows for a while, but hopefully we rebuild after this series and continue to be a force. Will make the world of cricket a lot more interesting... but nonetheless... a very sad day for Australian cricket in my opinon.. Warne & McGrath - legends in every single sense of the word.

Gotta say I'm very disappointed we haven't been able to take these three wickets. In spite of the fact that a win was very unlikely, I was looking forward to some good old throwing of the bat, regardless. Don't know that we'll see any at all now...

Yeah me too. Even 300 off 40 overs or whatever, would have been worthwhile watching.

Without wanting to sound like I'm just whining about the loss ( :p ), I think this series deserves a better finish than 30 overs of pointless batting for a draw.
