Wow, Lee bowling in the high 90s here... 97.2

Anyway, Giles and Pietersen have done a good job here, and England are home.

Man of the series for me is Flintoff, this will be his third man of the match award, and he's been Englands best bowler and one of their best batsmen. The same can be said of Warne and I think outright he's had a slightly better series, but Flintoff is on the winning side and that's what counts.

You really think Ponting is going to say No to Warne?
He's got over 600 wickets, almost 40 in this series alone at an incredible average, has carried the team thus far and you say no?
How would you explain Warne having different field placings under different captains? I am not saying Ponting would say no to Warne. But a captain like Taylor would debate with Warne for a second slip or some thing. Ponting does not have that insight to bring in extra.

A captain would not undermine Warne but could definitely influence Warne.

Flintoff & Warne should share it. There are arguments for both, Without Flintoff England would not have been as effective, and without Warne Australia might have been beaten 5-0.
However, if Flintoff were to get it outright, it wouldn't be a travesty.
I would be very happy with Warne getting it. Forty odd wickets isn't bad in 5 tests.

Though man of the match will be Pietersen.

No, you're quite right and usually that would be enough for Australia to win the series, but unfortunately they haven't.

Anyway, neither of those balls would have carried IMO.

Yeah, he could definately influence Warne. Im simply pointing out that you cannot blame Ponting individually for having no 2nd slip.

Why all this disagreeance tonight between us, Praty? Its just not cool.

What is Lee doing bowling short to Pietersen with no close catches? I mean, do he and Ponting even have a plan for Pietersen?

I think they're pretty much out of ideas and hoping he hits out to a fielder on the boundry.
