IWatching an interview with Paul Collingwood, how much does he sound like Alan Shearer. :D
Another Andy Capp/Scaly Piscine clone.

Just needed a chorus of "When the Booert comes in" and it would have been perfect.

That's way over my head.

I don't agree with the decision to go off for the light last night at all - but Dean Jones just said "I have yet to see a batsman get out to bad light". 8-)

And he ended his tirade with "and THAT'S the bottom... thing".
Cue Greg Matthews to pull out his story about playing in Guyana and only being able to tell Curtley Ambrose was coming in to bowl because he could see the whites of his eyes at 8pm again.

If rain/bad light takes away enough time, a declaration behind is not inconceivable.
I think Botham suggested that in his column this morning. It puts Warne under perhaps more pressure than any cricketer has ever been under, though - not that he'll mind.

Well if Botham agrees, I retract my statement.

Ponting won't declare behind, he'll bat as long as he can. Taylor or Waugh might have declared behind, but Ponting is much more in the Border mould of conservative captains.

On the money there with a little shape back into the batsmen.

Langer was all over the place.

LOL. Obviously the names would have been changed, but there's a 95% chance that story was originally told by Tony Greig.

Langer and Hayden a little over-excited here with the running between the wickets. I suppose the one good thing is that they do trust each other very well, so they don't get frozen mid-pitch if it's really close.

That drive was massive. Hayden is one of the best I've ever seen at really murdering half volleys.

Big test for him this morning with Hoggard's inswingers. He looks good so far.

England's dealing with this over-exciting running as you put it has been far from brilliant, they seemed half asleep on the two in the Hoggard over just gone.
