hayden triple century anyone? he only needs to bat until tea or shortly past it!
Need Blewy online for the betting thread!

I think they'll give Katich a session to bat, then if he or Hayden gets out give Gilly a go. Then maybe declare and give it back to the bowlers.

Looks like Hayden will retain his spot.

Here`s hoping he plays an innings (or two) of his life.

Hasn't Hayden done this all summer? I think he must be averaging over 100 against county opponents, then he comes up against decent bowlers in the test matches and just throws it away again.

We know. But one must have hope!

We need for example: Day One - flat-track - Australia wins the toss and bats. We haven`t had that all series.

I reckon Hayden should be taken on tours as a tour match specialist :p. He has been great against the counties, but not England. It's all in his head. I'm sure if he gets dropped from the Aussie team he will rip it up in Pura Cup. What a shame

Could have had, if you didn't have a klutz for a captain.

Alternative scenario:

Day One, flat track, Australia wins toss, bats. After 5 minutes, heavens open, pitch gets soaked in the 3 hours it takes for the (totally neutral) Oval groundstaff to get the covers on. The ghost of Derek Underwood looks on approvingly - remarkable because of course Underwood isn't dead.
