***Official*** Australia in England (The Ashes)

Australia's progressing nicely in their 2nd innnings

Currently 0/190 off 30overs with a run rate of 6.33!

Haydens just brought up his 100 and langer looks set to follow

Hayden 101n.o off 92 balls
Langer 84n.o off 91 balls

Good start for australia but it doesnt mean much if they dont make runs in the tests. Both langer and hayden have been getting runs in tour matches but hayden especially hasn't made runs in the test matches..

Hopefully he'll get some confidence from this and hopefully score a biggy in the next test *fingers crossed*

How many did the Invincibles score in a day at Chelmsford? 726 or something? Is that on?
729/6 IIRC. Australia will have to go at just over 7 an over from here to get that, assuming 105 overs in the day.

EDIT: Sorry, 729/6 was from the Test match in which Bradman scored 254. 8-)

They made 721 - and it turns out they did it at Southend, rather than Chelmsford.

But there's 105 overs available today, and the current rate is 6.62...

Ooh, Langer's out.

Katich will be sure to slow the run rate down.

Oh yeah that's where Miller stepped back and let himself be bowled

If you're just talking about the FC games, it's Langer, Ponting, then Hayden.
Do these 2 dayers have FC status? I know it's normally three days for FC, but sometimes exceptions have been made.

Yeah, you're right, it doesn't. Ponting, Langer, Clarke, Hayden, in that case.

Damn, Hayden absolutely murdering them since his century. 145 off 116 now. How many will he make before he retires?
I doubt he will. He'll want to get all the time in the middle he wants. Considering the side is short on batsman, having played 5 bowlers.

The other thing that has surprised me about this match (apart from Hayden's blistering innings) is that Gilchrist was keeping ahead of Haddin. Would have thought the better keeper would have done the wicket keeping... :p
