I was watching on SBS which is the Channel 4 feed and the on the replay of the decision it look to me straight up that Jones had nicked.
It was inconclusive. Simon Hughes talked some rubbish about the graph not being the usual "long and thin" shape that comes with a nick (which was made to look silly when Ricky Ponting's nick was picked up and was, well, not long and thin) but that doesn't mean he hit it. Like i say this could have been settled by looking at the super slo-mo but for some reason they never showed that.

Unfortunatly I had gone to bed by then. So be it.

Any takers when England might have the next 5 wickets up. I think they will need to get Gilly early on as IMO he is due for a big one.

Out of interest what is your link to Australia despite living in England? Where you like Swervey and was born over here and moved to England at a young age or where you born over in the UK to Australian parents?

On the issue of No-Balls, instead of automatic registering, do you think it could work to have a third umpire on the field who stands...okay, this is going to be hard to explain. The umpire watching the bowling stands by the stumps, the second umpire usually stands side-on to the batsman, I was thinking about having the third stand side on to where it is that the bowler puts his foot down. That way the other umpire could concentrate on the bowling and decision making.

the only family connection i have with Australia is that my dad's father (a wite man) was born over their. I all honesty i'm all English the reason i support the aussies is because when my father took me to my 1st test match at OT in 97 & i saw Waugh & Warne's performace i just fell in love with this side :D at a time when England were pretty poor & i've supported Australia ever since.

i support england when they play other sides & i am a passionate about the natioanal soccer side.......
