Hmm and someone said that Gilchrist is nothing like Flintoff because he doesn't slog and plays genuine cricket shots... right.

Actually remarkable the huge difference in the conditions. After tea yesterday the cloud cover set in and Hoggard was a menace. Now it's clear and sunny and he's being taken apart.

He didn't bowl a very good over. He wasn't bowling too badly previously, and Gilchrist was a bit lucky and could easily have been out.

Ludicrous wide call there, Warne bowled one in that place to Flintoff (ie it was down leg-side) yesterday when he was on 99.

already very good signs for Australia, the suns out no swing for Hoggy & no reverse swing for freddie by god these two must cash in. Come on Australia.........

It's a bit early to be looking for reverse yet, isn't it? The ball needs to be a bit older I think.

Does anyone actually bother to watch the ball or do they just watch the slo... err sorry genuine cricket shots from Gilcrhist?

That cut shot was classic Gilchrist, and yes it was a genuine cricket shot. He obviously was a bit reckless off Hoggard's last over.
