Well you explain why he was out LBW for 102 but not out when he was 8. The first decision was appalling, the second was worse, but your not blowing up because the bloke managed to get another 94 runs.

If by some chance Australia managed to square the series with a victory in the last test on the back of some shitty decisions, you blokes will howl the joint down.
No, we're not Aussies

What was wrong with the second decision?

Three quick questions.

when was the last time England made 3 consecutive 1st innings scores of 400+?

when was the last time England made 3 consecutive 1st innings scores of 400+ against Australia?

when was the last time Australia conceded 3 consecutive 400+ 1st innings scores?

even my Aussie teammates said that they wouldve given the Martyn and Ponting lbw's as Simon Hughes had to take 30 mins to find the knick....though Steve Bucknor should be banned.

The second and third was the 1986/7 Ashes. The first I guess was Windies last year.

Australia are doomed i'm so annoyed i'm going out to have sum rum with my frenz i have had enough of this sh*t cant take this cricket any longer. Just f**k it  :ranting:
The problem when you're just not old enough to remember more than one series defeat.

I'm not gloating because as I've said so many times before, this is cricket and stranger things have happened - I'm so pleased to see England at least competing though.

What I will say is something I did mention a couple of months before Australia hit these shores (I'm sure someone can check - it'll be at the start of this thread) - what goes around comes around, and it's your turn to suffer, so make the most of it. It doesn't happen that often.

The last time they did it against one team was 4th-6th test vs Windies in 1995.

i suppose given the England teams of the past i was expecting it to be at least the sixties or somehthing

what i found interesting was the age's report

"Simon Jones did the same to Ponting (1), although television replays confirmed it was bat before pad. There was also some doubt on Damien Martyn's (1) dismissal, but television replays were inconclusive as to whether the West Australian got some bat on the ball before umpire Aleem Dar sent him on his way."

I thought the martyn one was an inside edge on first viewing (as i did on the last day at OT, everyone around me in the crowd thought it was plum, but i was pretty certain he'd nicked it) but the ponting one, i never thought he'd nikced it until the super slo mo.

well the rum has settled in now  ,fair enough eddie but this is just heartbreaking, Australia should at least aim for 2-2 now thats all but i expect at the end of this series pundits saying that the wrest of the world should learn from England performaces, but the thing is i dont think any other side in the world really can dominate Australia has much has England have in this series so i dont think this is end of Australia.....

Its the beginning of a potentially great England side
