Buchanan is not a selector and Hussey didnt do enough in Aus to get in the test squad.

After his performances in the ODIs, he should have been retained but where would that leave Hodge, who was selected ahead of him on merit?

For me, the main concern has always been the compressed schedule meaning that Tait, Langer and MacGill had no match fitness whilst others were playing meaningless ODIs rather than honing their games is 4 day matches.

Clarke is encouraging contrating emotions for me, ifeel he is going to make a BIG one but when he plays shots like that he gets me worried.....

Im just ranting, I am annoyed with buchanans reactive stance in terms of a bowling coach. He is stubborn and if you had heard some of the stories I had you may agree, but alas, not suitable for here.

Aaargh, Clarke gone. Good bowling from Harmison. Had him playing a little compulsively outside off-stump, then brought it back in.

BTW, I do think Buchanan has a few things to answer for lately (and have said so), but he doesn't select the side.

Yeah but as Simon Hughes' analysis showed Ponting also hit his front pad with his bat before feathering the ball. So technically there was a treble noise, just the ear couldn't distinguish it.
