Amazing how Clarke looks so at ease whilst others are having trouble laying bat on ball.
their is something special about this kid, even though he may have been selected early has Kyle has been stressing on their is no way he should be dropped, he has been the shining light for Australia with the bat & he is holding the torch again this afternoon :thumbup1:

Yep, I think Clarke has actually been very good, and outside of the odd inability to read Jones (which he certainly hasn't been alone in), he's looked very solid at the crease - he's shown some real nuts this tour, and will certainly come out of it all with far more positives than the rest of the top 7 (excepting that one innings from Ponting, which would have meant a great deal for him).

To be fair, Martyn actually hasn't been too bad either, but has copped some howlers from the umps.

Well as long as the match finishes, with the decisions evening out i wont complain. The stress the umpires are under is enormous, something which must be taken into consideration

Regardless of what happens in this match (and let's face it, we may as well ask for a kiss first, 'cause we're about to be f**ked), I would LOVE to see a big innings from Gilly today.

I don't think batsmen are covered by unfair dismissal laws...

Flintoff's last appeal was the result of early decisions - missing leg by a stump and high yet everyone goes up.

Simon Hughes another good point. Lee has been absolutley spraying it to the left-handers, and has been too short. Hoggard and Jones much better line and length.

Similar to the langer bat pad. Everyone was up for the lbw, cause of martyn and punters decisions, even tho the ball was hammered.

Just a thought, surely Gilchrist will fire this innings. Just by the law of averages, he'll have to get at least a solid fifty sometime time this series.

Edit: Didn't see your post there SL
