Ergh at the decision though, that was an edge if ever I saw one. :wacko:
I stand corrected, Richie Benaud says it was pad first for Ponting.

YYYaaaaahhhh---zoooooooooooo, another wicket but Martyn edged it, he's having a rough rough time of it recently. :(

I just can't see the edge myself, though Boycott keeps talking about it... Looked out to me. Martyn, on the other hand - another bad call on him, and he's been very unlucky.

And for the first time, I genuinely believe we're not going to win this series from here. England should win the urn from this point - they are the better side. The most likely way they'll fail to win will be if they somehow screw it up.

That's the first cricket post I've seen from you for about a year. :D
Heheh, I take it that's aimed at me?

I think it's worth a post, especially when we're giving the bloomin' Aussies a hell of a beating!

Yeah. Australia's batting has been woeful all series, and they are rapidly running out of opportunities to turn it around. I still expect a drawn series, but I think the chance of Australia winning it is pretty slim now. Certainly England should win this test, weather permitting.

Hayden= out

Ponting and Martyn = big inside edge and definantly not out.

Clear double noise.

However in saying that the english bowlers have bowled excellently and are unlucky not to have already picked up langer.

Interesting the effect field placings have had on Langer and Hayden.

Hayden has resorted to blocking half-volleys because he's scared of lofting them.

Langer's made a career out of knocking runs into the leg-side but now cant seem to lay bat on them because he's concerned about his off-stump.

Contrast them with Clarke, who walks to the wicket and smacks a similar delivery for four.
