If Gilchrist is kept in the pavilion until tomorrow, Australia still have a reasonable chance of making a decent total, and if they get within 100 of England they certainly can't be ruled out. A lot will depend on the Clarke situation I imagine.
A repeat of the Katich/Gilchrist partnership in NZ earlier this year would be nice. Katich really needs to work out a more effective technique against Giles though.
