***Official*** Australia in England (The Ashes)

Ponting out.

That hurts Australia. I hope I was wrong about Hayden not making a century. We really need him to go on with this start of his.

Whats the rules with Clarke? I always thought that he can't play for as long as he has been off the field. Well obviously not I suppose.

C'mon Hayden, put your head down and go on with it. Diddo for Martyn

Cricinfo is pretty poor in comparison.

Just a random off topic rant after looking on cricinfo for a second there, don't mind me. ;)
Which shows how thrilling cricket must be, since I've been following text updates since 2003 and still rely on it. :p

Martyn and Katich are Australia's most reliable batsmen when the team is in trouble, aside perhaps from Langer. They need to offer something special now. Another wicket soon and England will have the follow on in sight.

Awful, awful stuff from Bowden.
Wouldn't even you say it's getting out of hand?

It's a joke when you look back at Bowdens two LBW not outs at Edgbaston when Warne was bowling to Giles.

Absolute joke.

Wouldnt go that far, it was only a few cm's outside offstump and we had the aid of a see through player to see where that off stump was in slow motion too.

Wrong decision yes but not a shockingly bad one.

Which is why a 70 year old man who's just recovered from cancer (Boycott) said straight away that it was outside the line.

At first glance, it looked out because Hayden was back and the ball was going to hit the stumps.

On replay, not that close.

Unfortunately, Billy's had a horror couple of tests.

If Gilchrist is kept in the pavilion until tomorrow, Australia still have a reasonable chance of making a decent total, and if they get within 100 of England they certainly can't be ruled out. A lot will depend on the Clarke situation I imagine.

A repeat of the Katich/Gilchrist partnership in NZ earlier this year would be nice. :) Katich really needs to work out a more effective technique against Giles though.

Keep hearing that time after time, but it's wearing a bit thin.

They would have a chance against the England of old or the current Zimbabwe, but not anymore.

Gee, sorry for posting something other than the 'England suck/Australia suck more/I told you so' line that you keep posting. 8-)

I'm being proved right time after time in my predictions and my insight is the most accurate here, despite my distinctive style of delivery.

whereas you're just regurgiating tired old cliches, which never ammount to anything.
