One of the really promising things about Clarke this innings is how well he has handled what is not a particularly easy wicket against genuine pace bowlers. Harmison and Flintoff haven't caused him many problems, and Jones and now Bell have swung it a bit and he's punished them. We already knew he could play spinners of course.
He's only faced 8 balls from Harmison (no runs scored) and 8 from Flintoff.

Vaughan has handled the bowlers like it's a limited overs game, his captaincy has helped kill England no end this game.

Well, when he has faced them, he's done fine, and Jones and Hoggard are both pacers as well and have moved it a bit. The things people have claimed he is hopeless against are genuine pace and swing and seam.

Pup playing superbly i'm just loving it, they've stuck by him during this down period and he hasn't failed them, England on the other hand are showing signs of going to pieces here...

Martyn and Clarke seem to like batting together. They had a good partnership in each innings at Nagpur, another one when Clarke made his last century in Brisbane, and another one here. Partnership almost 150 now, and should be a match winner.

How old is the ball? Jones should see if he can get the reverse swing going.
Almost 60 overs. Harmison finally coming back on now, Jones bowled a fair spell before and got what was probably conventional swing. Bowled on the pads too much and got smashed for 13 off an over and was then taken off though. I'd think about bringing him back too if Hoggard doesn't do anything in his next over.

I guess Vaughan is just waiting for stumps and the new ball tomorrow now. Hoggard bowling a negative line way outside off, and Harmison only slightly more attacking. Not even a slip in for Hoggard, just a packed off-side field to cut down the runs. Not a great move really, England need to bowl Australia out for 300-350 and at least give themselves some chance, unless Vaughan fancies praying for rain. Still nearly 50 minutes until stumps, so Clarke should have a chance to get his hundred or get out tonight... 91 now.

Wow, looks like Vaughan's tactics worked perfectly after all. Clarke just lost patience and played an awful shot on to his own stumps. Second time in his career he's been out for 91.

He actually knocked the ball onto the stumps with his back foot, otherwise it would have missed the stumps.
