Martyn's one looked like it stayed down a bit. Well, if England can get another wicket quickly and get the tail in, a target not much beyond 300 is still possible.

Now why did England have to wait til over an hour and a half after a tea before this?

The way that ball moved & bounced almost makes it look even worse for England.

Way to give the opposition credit there. England didn't get a wicket for an hour and a half after tea because they "waited".

Well Clarke's shot was a major aberration. That'll make many a Nervous Nineties reel in years to come.

Anyone fancy arguing the Martyn LBW? :)

well its about time something like that happened for england. Mcgrath found that spot a good 80 overs before hand and they only just find it?????? Not really unlucky for martyn as he didnt move his feet

It's pretty suave that most of the people in this thread are unbiased about the whole thing, and just appreciate the cricket, not who's playing it.

The key word there being "most" :p

Well Clarke nearly got himself out in the 20s but Pietersen put down an easy catch, other than that Australia get credit for taking the ample opportunities for scoring - otherwise their lives were made far easier by 9 overs of Giles and other bowlers you'd be fairly comfortable against early on - compared to Flintoff and Harmison.
