350-400 would be a good score - which would be wanted. Any thing above 400, the batting team has done well. Restricting Australia to less than 350 is some thing England would have settled at once Ponting chose to bat IMO.

Doesn't look likely at the moment - if Australia pass 250 let alone 350 I think they'd be slightly pleased considering their current position.

Thought the same, but he was well back in the crease and hawkeye suggested hitting top of leg, so fair enough. Could be another Edgbaston if Gilchrist goes early.

No SuperSubs in Tests mate........ yet.

There are more chances of Australia being bowled out early than a Gilchist bravado saving a first inning low score. But a test match has 2 innings a side and Australia can bounce back despite a low first inning score.

Maybe even Mike Hussey after his fantastic one day form - but Michael Clarke, unless he scores something big in his second dig, doesn't look to have a secure position IMO.
