Hold on.. I've just sat down. Konstas reverse ramped Bumrah in the second over?
Missed the first two pretty horribly then started connecting. First 16 balls or so were characterised by some very close leaves/playing and missing. All very odd.

He got into Bumrah’s head a bit there, made him go full. As long as Bumrah stays on a length he’s going to struggle.

Lol, taking a slip out when Konstas is looking set to get out in some psychologically scarring way any second.

Listen to these commentators try to stay relevant and in the know by talking up the strategy of reverse lapping the world's best bowler

Yeah I like that he has the shot and he's happy to play it. What I don't like is that he plays it so much.
Yup. He looks like he's premeditating to a significant degree. I don't like the charges down the wicket either, even though I can see the purpose.

In the end he hasn't actual scored that fast, but considering that were going at about 1 an over against these two opening previously...

From a players perspective - of course. But at some point, the product no longer becomes worth watching. For me anyway, but obviously people love stuff like this, and fair play to them.
Why is the product becoming unwatchable though? I don't see why it has to follow a certain style/pace all the time. If teams like to play the "old school" way, go for it. If they want to Bazball it, more power to them. Whatever helps you win, as GIMH said.

fwiw if Konstas does a scoop again with the man back I retract all my previous comments. That's pure hubristic idiocy.
