I managed to make it to the ground yesterday and today. Two fantastic days of cricket for anyone who loves the game. Smith's double hundred. Marsh's almost double hundred yesterday. A lot of wickets taken by both sides today. Really entertaining cricket
I was really happy for Mitch Marsh to make the score that he did. As I have mentioned before, I always hope that young talent finds success. From any team.
It is absolutely sheeting down here at the moment. I live about 5 minutes walk from the WACA, and the wind and rain is as bad as anything we normally see in winter. I would imagine the biggest problem in the morning will be drying the outfield. If it is a normal Perth weather front, then heavy, blustery, rain will come along every hour or two. It will be challenging, under the current system, to get any play going at all. Or... It blows itself out tonight. Which is my quiet hope. Weather forecasting is very hit and miss in Australia.
I have felt very lucky to see the kind of cricket I have over the last two days
The WACA is a very intimate ground compared to most others these days. Not that I am going to miss it when it is gone
And I probably have a whole bunch of other contentious and negative opinions to get out of my system. But, for now, I just want to bask in two very enjoyable days of cricket. I think everyone who posts regularly on this thread would have really enjoyed it
