England are being stupid here. By bowling short they're letting themselves face a newer ball last session. You've got a terrible batsman in the form of Haze, get it full on the stumps. Morons.

Oh well, right on the stroke of... tea?

Good to get our lollapse out of the way. Think we'll win by at least 50 here though.

Batting time probably in England's favour, but still a hard target.

Can't afford to bowl tripe though.

This does not feel like a 138 all out pitch (or even a 227)... I hope England can push close to 300 just to at least make a game of it and give the Aussies some heart palpitations.

It was certainly playing like one last night tbf.

Last night was some extreme stuff.... but this morning and in general, while there has been movement, nothing beyond what you expect to see in a test match. This pitch is true, with a bit of movement... 300 is not an insurmountable goal. Eng lost it by not bowling well enough and letting Aus get to 400+.

None of the Aus bowlers really have the ability to conventionally swing the ball. Their bite is in the sheer pace of Starc and Cummins and the nip and height of Hazlewood.

Honestly Anderson is the biggest downhill skier in world cricket. He pretty much doesn't seem to put in any effort unless the conditions are favorable or he is already on a roll. If he bowled like this in Brisbane, who knows how England might be going. Instead his bowling has been insipid and uninspiring. Now that he's picked up a few he's actually bowling decently.

Ironically is the exact behavior of a bully - only picking on the weak and vulnerable.
My word this is a joke.

Always hilarious to see the fly by nights resort to ill informed nonsense about Anderson during an Ashes series.

Anyway. Oz got 30 runs more than I’d have liked, which means we will probably chase this seven or eight down. Could do without that close a finish.

Marsh the difference basically.

Actually, they all do. Starc moreso than the others, but when Haze is releasing the ball better than he is currently he bowls a small but useful out swinger.

Starc swinging it nicely now.
