Lol there's no such thing as "due". If they end up winning it's because they played better.
Whatever, they would be 'due' to play better. If some things go their way and they uplift and play better, they shall win.

Cricket (like some other sports) is a luck based sport. There were so many plays and misses, if Jaiswal had gotten out for under 20 in the 2nd innings, India may have lost the match comfortably. So luck plays a significant role in sports. It's a combination of skill, execution and luck.

Very easy to say Beau Webster has earned his call-up being Shield Player of the year last season with this from CA site:

"Last summer, Webster became just the second player in the competition's 132-year history after West Indian great Sir Garry Sobers to score more than 900 runs and take 30 wickets in a season"

While this year in 6 FC games he has 448 runs @ 56.00 and 16 wkts @ 29.88

Will he debut at Adelaide?

The "luck" part of any sport is based entirely on how skilful the players are because being good increases the chances of good things happening for you.
Nah, not entirely.

Lots of elements of luck in sports have nothing to do with skill.

The toss, weather, umpiring, the ball ricocheting off the bat from a throw resulting in six runs during a world cup final. I could go on.

Yeah cricket happens both too rarely and also is too heavily impacted by "long tail" events for luck to not be hugely decisive. Imagine how different the game might have gone had Jaiswal nicked off early on, for example.

The skill part at the end will always overcome the luck part. One-off incidents can happen with luck, yes, but not any long term happenings such as a series result.

Our big worry is we are playing three fast bowlers with nkr who isn't reliable yet. If pitch flattens then bumrah will have to do bulk of bowling which is not ideal but picking 4 th pacer would mean weeken already fragile batting
Tricky situation indeed

Akash Deep is a good bowler who can also bowl lot of overs. Siraj can be hot or cold.
