You could say the same about the diving, and you can see within one dive, that once again, no one is beating the Chinese.

Triathlon feels nicely set up for Yee at the mo who can just hide in the cycling pack and wait for the 10k run.

3 French in the group though will be tough to beat (and they must be huge faves for the relay).

Sometimes sport can be so petty but I guess rules and all. Pom disqualified after winning heat of 200 backstroke for being to long underwater during his turn

Bronze for GB in diving. Fred Sirieux daughter was one half of the pair.

Korea got silver, no prizes for guessing who got gold.

This was brought in ages ago iirc because the easiest way to win by miles was to simply spend like two thirds of the race underwater and not have to do any actual backstroke until the very last bit of the lap.

Looks like a straight fight between Yee and Wilde in the Triathlon - they shook hands at the start, almost like they foresaw this situation.

Wow, what a final 800m, where did he find that from? Wilde was looking knackered for ages but somehow holding his lead. Almost like the Frenchman coming suddenly spurred Yee on. Fantastic race.
