Interesting to read the thoughts of Steve Bunce, the BBC's Boxing specialist. He said that whilst she's a decent boxer, she doesn't normally worry the best, not a devastating puncher and this is only her 5th stoppage. But clearly he wouldn't know as much about this as JK Rowling FFS!!

I can't recall a Games where the news items coming out are so negative.
Complaints about judging (boxing), village accommodation (no air con), controversial chair umpire over-rules (tennis), poor commentators (***ist and/or ill-informed), postponed triathalon (river too dirty) etc.

There's also a pedophile child rapist playing for the Netherlands Olympic beach volleyball team. And the damn corrupt Europeans running the IOC really want to make us think it's okay, and cover it up so that we'll forget about it.

Honestly the whole Olympics just seems sour and under a cloud.

This has been by far the most interesting, enjoyable and impressive event I've watched this Olympics.
Unlike e.g. the swimmers, you can really see the extraordinary skill level as a layman.
It's also a wonderful spectacle, like a great play. And, the format is superb the way it build the excitement.
Just a great show.
I can't see anything beating it for me.
Also, Sunisa Lee and Georgia Mae Fenton didn't do it any harm.
