This is a real tough race. Dutch and Irish are strongNow let's see what the men can do. I think our guys are a bit less likely here against a strong line-up.

And whatta ya know, a shock Romanian win from Lane 1!!You can generally tell from what lane they're in. Winners likely to come from 3 or 4, those in 1 and 6 unlikely to figure.
Too early to drink here and I have bowls tonight so can't anyway. I'll have a soft drinkGreat fun watching a sport that I generally don’t care about and people I don’t know winning but still getting excited about it. Whisky helps though.
Worst commentator of all time for me.I hate the rowing without Gary Herbert going mad
Surely it'd be much more fun after a day session?Too early to drink here and I have bowls tonight so can't anyway. I'll have a soft drink
No. I play at a good level so can't be pickled. Played 4 County players this season.Surely it'd be much more fun after a day session?
Similar the plate round in the rugby 7s.What is the point of B Finals in the Rowing? You weren't very good, so have a race against other not very good teams. If you come last in this, maybe consider a new sport?
Yeah, just felt like they didn't play to their strength. If you're more about all round stamina than sprint finish, why not go out harder?Guess it's fair after we pipped the Dutch yesterday
For a second I thought you were talking about this guyJohnny Vegas has been surprisingly good on the gymanstics too.
It’s odd that some sports persist with this and others don’t. It’s a bit like the 3rd place play off at the football WC. I sort of see it as a carry over from some sort of golden age of amateur sport where a consolation prize mattered.Similar the plate round in the rugby 7s.
Yet other sports you get like a minute or less in qualification and your whole Olympics could be over.
Yeah, he's doing comms for BBC on the gymanstics. For a second I thought you were talking about this guy
