actually i would prefer a system similar to what the use over in European football where they have 1 or 2 set periods during the season that go for around a month where players can change clubs etc.
It wont stop players from being released and moving clubs mid season. You can do that in the Football. The other thing is unlike in football players can't move to another club unless their contract is finished. That swhy it got brought in to minimise that movement. In the NRL have to be released from the last couple years of their contract before they can move. In the Football you can move without being released. You don't have club transfer fees in the NRL. Thats the only reason they have set periods in NBA and in Football. Having set period wouldn't make any difference in the NRL as players will still agree to moves at the start/middle of the season. Players will still we able to get released and move to another club.

Do you guys have loans in the NRL?
No we don't but I wouldn't mind seeing it. Player can go go out on loan for a whole season or six months, clubs decide who pays the wages and obviously they can't play against their club they are on loan for. Give each team two loans a season with one emergency loan for the season (ie you start running short of front rowers and a club has plenty of them you can use it to loan a player for the rest of the season or for a certain point).

It probably won't happen, but that is thinking outside the square for you.

There is a deadline in terms of players playing for another club during the season. That is, by June 30, if you're not registered for a particular club, then you can't play for them for the rest of the season.

What's the go between the Rabbitohs and Panthers? Last time I checked it was 4-4 at halftime and looked positively unpleasant.

What a win by the Chookies. Looked magnificent in attack tonight which is something we've been lacking all year. Without our Origin stars too. Very encouraging. Believe it or not, despite the fact we're in last place we're only 2 wins away from 4th.

Nice work. Alot of people are on 0/3 in my tipping comps. I'm on 2/3 and I'm coming in the Top 5.

Far and away the Roosters best performance all season. Admittedly the Cowboys were without Thurston but I was really impressed with how Pearce played and Wing had one of his better matches in recent times. All it takes is a few consecutive wins and we could be in the top 4. Hopefully the Roosters can show the same sort of attack in future games and toughen up in defence.

As far as tipping goes that was the only match I've got right so far so I'm 1/3.

Vatuvai surely can't play as poorly as he did against the Eels. He can really only improve from here....I hope for his sake anyway.
yeah, there's only one way he can go. Just can't believe they are still playing him on the wing where he is so exposed and where one of the main jobs is to defuse bombs and catch kicks. He's an explosive attacking player so I would put him in the forwards and let him range wide...a bit like how Tony Iro used to play
