You are an English fan too which is obvious in yuor support against foreign nation clubs.Tom Halsey said:4) Pot. Kettle. Black. And I don't see why (as Marc says) that as a Man United fan I'd be biased towards Chelsea.
yeah but i think if scaly piscine is ever actually happy, he might explode.marc71178 said:IMO England actually played well today - and yes, so they didn't create a lot in the last 20 minutes, but at 4-0 up there was no need, and there's another game on Wednesday which they have to think about.
What's there being a game on Wednesday have to do with passing the ball backwards most of the time in the last 20 minutes? If anything the way they were giving the ball back they were more likely to get carded for taking someone out (it could have happened near the end when there someone fell over and did a half rugby tackle) or get injured going in for a stupid tackle after giving the ball away.marc71178 said:IMO England actually played well today - and yes, so they didn't create a lot in the last 20 minutes, but at 4-0 up there was no need, and there's another game on Wednesday which they have to think about.
Northern Ireland isnt exactly the best side in the world.marc71178 said:Keep the ball, use very little energy, stop the opposition from gettting a sniff of goal.
A very professional effort all round.
There was next to no chance of cards or injuries the way they played.
Which is what Marc said... three points, job done, no-one cares.Pratyush said:Northern Ireland isnt exactly the best side in the world.
Well played England but matters must be put in perspective looking at the strength of the opposition too!
exactly, cant really ask for them to do more than that can you.Neil Pickup said:Which is what Marc said... three points, job done, no-one cares.
There's plenty of things I know happen but don't know why, this is an example.Pratyush said:You are an English fan too which is obvious in yuor support against foreign nation clubs.
Regarind your question of dont ask why, you should be able to give a reason or else not state some thing.
I can only describe you as a professional moaner.Scaly piscine said:Nice to see England perform for most of the game against Northern Ireland, as usual most of them should, like in cricket, lose 50% of their match fees for the half-arsed last 20 minutes (would be interesting to see how many fines and bans there'd be if football was run under ICC style discipline) - the spectators paid for the full game not 70 minutes of it. Northern Ireland got what they deserved - no points and no goals. I think the left-side midfield position supposedly being solved is a bit premature, they never really got behind Northern Ireland in the first half and that was with all their possession (BBC had England with 78% possession when they flashed that stat up in the middle of the first half).
Don't worry I can describe you as lots of things. Perhaps everyone else is happy that guys on £100,000 a week can only be arsed doing what they're paid for 75% of the game. It's not like anyone would ever get the sack if they did that in real life now is it?Tom Halsey said:I can only describe you as a professional moaner.
Exactly - 4 wins and a draw so far (and we've no more difficult away games and only 1 potentially tricky home game left)kendall said:It seems whatever England do people manage too complain it was a professional performance and england will qualify with ease. considering the overall standard of international football at the moment i think england have a very strong squad that are capaable of winning a major tournament
Oldham are safe now, I reckon - Chipnickers are in reverse. Shame about Franchise FC, though.superkingdave said:Well a great easter for Oldham sees us moving away from the relegation zone with 8 points now between us and Torquay, we seem to have remembered how to play.
Beckett was a great signing, a proven goalscorer at this level.
Top win yesterday against Hull, they said they would sell out the away end but it was barely half full. I was getting nervous when the chaddy started shouting 'easy' when we scored though, but we held on.
Yeah, kind of goes without saying that...Pratyush said:Northern Ireland isnt exactly the best side in the world.
