Interesting to hear that Wenger puts £4,000,000 a year into their academy, meaning he devotes much of his time to British players. That'd be good, compared to the £30,000,000 or so he spends a year on foreign imports then.
When has Wenger ever spent £30 million in a year?

The answer would be never.

His net spending on transfers is actually very small because he has a superb eye for talent.

I wouldn't worry too much about London football - it has produced Defoe, Terry and Lampard of late...
Plus Ferdinand (times 2 - Anton will play for England), Cole, Carrick, ...

In fact almost all from West Ham...

The problem is there aren't very many at all. I agree it's Arsenal's loss, but it is also English Football's loss.
So how is it Arsenal's fault, as you seem to imply.

Probably because he hardly ever buys any English players, anyone English (with the odd exception) in the squad gets mucked around with and eventually gets sold on so he can have more cash for building up the French club... errr I mean Arsenal side.

Who was the last Frenchman he signed then - I can't think of one in the last couple of years,

He has a job to do, and pound for pound is doing it far better than any other manager.

1) Exageration, but it can't be far off that at times.

2) Like Almunia and Cygan, more useless foreign imports?

And one from Arsenal (Cole) - fantastic production of young English footballers there.

Better than any manager?! Yes, his performance this season has been stunning, I agree.

And when was the last Englishman he signed? I can't think of one in the last couple of years, either.

If we get past Milan, we're definately playing well enough. Plus, one of Chelsea and Barcelona has to go out this round so that helps! :D

I can't remember any season he's spent that much.

Bear in mind it's only twice he's spent over £10,000,000 - so he'd need to buy a lot to even get to £20,000,000.

I said pound for pound.

What is his net spend on players.

What is Chelsea and Manures?

Which side went all last season unbeaten?

You mean went all last season in the PREMIERSHIP unbeaten. Arsenal have won a few Premierships and the odd FA Cup, nothing particularly outstanding really in this age where 2-3 clubs in England are in a class of their own. I'd also take Mourinho over Wenger any day of the week, better manager and doesn't have selective myopia and memory loss.

And how much money has he spent compared to the money spent by the other clubs?

Like I said, in terms of spend his achievments are far ahead of the other managers around.

In fact I would place a lot of the credit for England's current side actually beginning to look decent at his door.

Ferguson turned United from mid table plodders to Title winners on practically nothing... because unlike Arsenal, we invest in English youth. 8-)

Turning a team from 4th or 5th into occasional title winners doesn't compare to Ferguson's achievements while spending almost nothing. People forget Fergie's bargains too - Schmeichel for £550,000 and Cantona (best player I've actually seen live) for not much over a million.
