Well, now we know the price of success in English Football now: Chelsea have made a record pre-tax loss for last year of £88m!

If Uncle Roman ever gets bored, wow! :D

They'll have a shoe-string budget nex year... they're cutting spending by 20%, which means they'll have around £140 million left. Tight budget there! :D

The goal where he lobs the ball for a 2-0 Man U lead.
Both damn good, volley was better IMO. I really think we're playing fantastic ATM (without Horse too) and it's a shame Chelsea have got such a big lead otherwise the League would be far more interesting.

I think the second Rooney goal was better.A lob is easier than a powerful drive. Most drives go awry and players usually line them up but it was just a one touch from Rooney. Both goals though.

How friggin dumb are the BBC commentators - Kamara (outfield player) falls over stretches his arm out and grabs the ball and pulls it back, and idiot 'Bright' goes on about "I don't see how there's a free kick there".
I have to say I thought the referee in that game had a great game.

Also the ref in the first half of Oldham-Bolton really did well letting the game flow.

Today's big shout out goes to Forest Green keeper Steve Perrin for taking all the banter from the Bastin Stand in great spirit, even turning round and conducting "You Fat B*****d" whilst an injury held up play before a goal kick and virtually peeing himself at the sound of "Are you Rooney in disguise".

Some people could do to learn a lot from that!
Perrin was a bit of a legend for me in my Forest Green CM03/04 game.

I felt Souness should have gone instead of Bellamy. His style of managing doesn't seem to be working.Sort of outdated at least pretty soon it will be.He's not an accomplished manager either.
Of course the success he's had in several countries doesn't count?

IMO the second one was even better!
It was coming late at night and unfortunately I havent seen that till now. Have to watch it now if it was also excellent as I have heard from all quarters!

Have to say it's amusing how Sky pundits attack Wenger and Ferguson about their row when they're the people that stir it up (to an extent).

That's the past.Management has changed. He's not cutting it in the Premiership.

Now Sheperd's blaming Robson. That's pretty low. He's an old man.How do you expect hm to instill any discipline.Besides fans don't care about disciplined players. They want the results and Souness is certainly not bringing that.

Chelsea's wealth is all from one source.Man Utd and Arsenal used fan support to make money. Not selling to a billionaire.Nobody really seemed to care about Chelsea before Abramovich came did they?

Erm, Manure did - and now the fans are crying about the fact they may be taken over - can't have it both ways.

Arsenal can't be said to be using support anywhere near as much, they've benefitted from a man who can spot bargains.

You're missing the point.Man Utd and Arsenal didn't become big overnight. And my main point i sthat merchandising and ticket sales makes their money but Chelsea hasd success gifted to them with Roman coming in.
