Well, apparently Carroll has just dropped it 4 foot over the line and it was disallowed. Sounds a bit dodgy to me, but I won't complain.

Anyway, the gap between Arsenal and Chelsea has widened.
Amazingly huge howler. Shot from 60 yards at least. He drops it like Herschelle Gibbs, and it then bounces inside the line...sooo obvious...

(of course, Carroll was probably between the referee and the goal, which explains why it wasn't given)

Do you reckon you have a chance of catching them Tom?

By my reckoning they only have 4 tricky games left. The way they are playing they aren't going to trip up against the weaker teams like you and Arsenal. I reckon the 4 big games they have left are. Spurs(a) next match. United(a) 16 Apr, Ars(H) 20 Apr and Newc (a) 14 May (last game). Its not beyond the realms of possibility that the title could be almost won come the game against you.

Well, to quote a commentator whose name I forget, can Manchester United score? They always score...
Not tonight they didn't (unless yo count Carroll)

Still when you take off Ronaldo for Spector have to question if Taggart has stopped drinking since Hogmaney?

No, you never seem to when incompetent officals gift you points - it must be now getting on for double figures in points gained this season.

I have no idea how that could no have been a goal and maybe now this puts an end to the debate of not using goal line technology.

I don't care if people say if it is being Americanised, as long as we get the decisions correct, and a decision like that you would only need to see once or twice and take no more then 45 seconds.

If people can't get then right they don't deserve to referee in the Ryman Premier!

You're all running scared of City.
You and I both know he was never going to play.

If Exeter win you can change my name to Ronaldo (the Real Madrid one).

No, there was no bid, so he is making it up.

The only reason he is making it up is to get a bigger contract.
So you dont think he would turn down Chelsea when he says so in the public pretty fair and square. And as I said before, there is no harm in trying for extra money any way. It doesnt change the fact that he would not accept Chelsea's contract if they offered it right now.

The initial point was that no club could turn down a transfer offer.
The initial point Marc made was no player could resist Chelsea. Ronaldinho pretty much says he wouldnt sign up for them.

Just logged on and I have seen how well my team is going in the CW Fantasty competition, and with one game to go for Andy Cole (who is in my team) I have a chance to add on to my 75 points scored so far.

Petr Cech as my captain gets his regulation 12 points and John Terry gets his usual 6 points as did Ledley King - some inspired transfer work gets King for me and he gets me six points. John Arne Riise was brilliant for me getting a whopping 15 points for this round. I more or less copied Marc on this.

Frank Lampard got me ten points (D) and Shaun Wright-Phillips got me 7. And the big winner was Palace's Andy Johnson getting 10 points. He really has had a good season and is one of the leading English goal scorers this season and Palace will do well to keep hold of him regardless if they stay up or go down.

Right, so an official who's standing forty metres away from the goal with his view blocked by Carroll can clearly see that is a goal...along with the linesman who's trying to see it from 50 metres away with his eyes level with the situation... 8-)

Goal line decisions like these should be made by video, in all honesty. Can't really see any argument against it (except five-minute play stops when they disagree about whether it's a goal or not).

He said it when there was no offer on the table at all.

2 reasons - 1 to please the Barcelona fans and 2 to get himself a better contract.

No doubt his agent had a big hand in it.

Yes, I looked at your team to find we have about half the same players.

My annoyance today was in picking the wrong keeper (again!)

Robinson left on the bench :(
