In the same way that if City drew Man Utd in the third round, there'd only be slight favouritism involved there. Do you pay even the remotest attention to European football?
What do you mean?

PSV past seven years:

98 Champions Cup First Stage
99 Champions Cup First Stage
00 Champions Cup Second Stage
01 Champions Cup First Stage, UEFA Cup QF
02 Champions Cup First Stage, UEFA Cup QF
03 Champions Cup First Stage
04 Champions Cup First Stage, UEFA Cup QF
Fantastic stats there for PSV.

My original point was that PSV should be beaten by any decentEuropean side. Arsenal have failed.

How many more failures in Europe does it take for people to realize they are not one of the top sides in Europe?

haha halsey we'll see, its a shame people judge a team like PSV on the fact they play in a poorer league rather than by the talent they have in their team, i bet most teams would love to have Bouma, Cocu, Van Bommel, Farfan etc....
Not teams who were looking to challenge top European sides.

Farfan will be a top striker in the world in a few years, van bommel will be heading to dortmund in all likelyhood in January, Cocu played for Barcelona for years and Bouma is a dutch international... all fairly good players imo

Campbell is one of the most overrated players I think I've ever seen.

He's not a bad defender by any means, and is a very good blocker - but he has no pace and can't turn, and decent teams tend to exploit it and it goes unnoticed.

You really do talk a lot of rubbish at times. I'd have him ahead of just about any defender in England at the moment.

Campbell no pace?!

And who are these decent teams that have exploited it?

PSV 3 Man Utd 1, Sep 26, 2000. I agree, Man U are clearly not a decent European side.

And as for top players needed to be challenging top European sides...I think last season proved that top players can't do everything, team spirit and working together is important - along with quite a few bits of luck. IMO there are about 20 teams in Europe who can win the CL. Man U are among them. So are PSV.

haha Hakon, i support PSV and im pretty sure we wont be winning it, Guus Hiddink even said on ESPN Press Pass that this seasons aim was to make it out of the group stages and anything past that is a shock, we have the players to beat any team, no doubt, but i dont think we can string the matches together to beat teams like Barcelona, Chelsea or Juventus in concescutive ties....

It's so random at the moment. I doubt Porto supporters couldn't honestly say they were going to win it last year - or Monaco supporters saying they would reach the final - or Greek supporters winning the Euro.

The only thing that's certain is that Scandinavian teams well and truly suck.

i guess we have got one thing going for us, a fantastic manager, tactics could get us further into the competition than we should get...

If I wear the same thing every day it does start to smell a bit.

I do apologise for not noticing you. Something along the lines of "Oi, Ginger" is usually good enough to grab my attention. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to Whipton to go and coach some football.
