PSV, Feyenoord, Ajax

They are not 3 very good sides - theyr'e 3 sides that quality European opposition should beat every time - with the possible exception of Ajax.

Pretty unjustifiable statement given PSV currently lead them by 13 points

'Possible exception'.

And Ajax have far outperformed PSV in Europe in recent years.
Just admit that you don't followed the Dutch League at all and screwed up, will you?

There's no way at all that Ajax are superior to PSV on current form. Ajax also have hardly been a European power for a decade. Going off that, you also have to rate Norwich City...

Just imagine if psv kept all their talent? ruud, robben, kezman etc would be a pretty good strike force, like the ajax of early 90's with kluivert and co.

he was very good when he left Wigan Athletic. Dunno what happened
Since United want a new goal keeper (it seems every available one is linked to a move to Old Trafford), in January or in the summer, and Carroll hasn't signed a new contract and becomes a free agent next summer, what would you rate his chances of coming back, especially if Wigan get promotion?

Chelsea to win the EPL, and a few more competitions they are in as well for me.

And Ronaldo!

I will laugh at the day Ronaldo fillfulls his life-long ambition it seems and goes and plays for Tottenham. Even when he is 35 and looking for a good retirement package.

a) Didn't know they were so far ahead, but that doesn't change my opinion.

b) They've reached the quarters a few times, and won it in the mid 90's, the quarters recently too - more than PSV have done.

PSv currently lead Ajax by 11 points, Feyenoord by 10, as for Europe i think we are in good shape, have good depth in the midfield and up front, but out biggest problem could be the lack of experience, if we can make it to the last 8 that would be a good effort...

on ajax out performing us, ajax did make the quarters of the CL 2 years ago....

Arsenal have picked up 6 points from 6 games, has anyone's opinion changed? No.

If PSV make the qyarters well played to them, but I'll be very surprised if it happens.

what makes u think we cant make the quarters, if we finish top and get a side like PSG theres every chance we can go through....

haha halsey we'll see, its a shame people judge a team like PSV on the fact they play in a poorer league rather than by the talent they have in their team, i bet most teams would love to have Bouma, Cocu, Van Bommel, Farfan etc....

Yes but getting a side like PSG is one thing, and then beating them is only slightly in PSV's favour IMO.
Erm why?

PSG are nowhere near as good a side as PSV IMO.

I know I'm cheering for Liverpool here but... YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Arsenal have been shocking today.
How good was Neil Mellor's goal?

Is it me or does he look similar to Steven Gerrard? Hopefully Sol Campbell won't sign his new contract at Arsenal and go to Inter instead next summer, on a much larger pay packet, but will solve Inter's defensive problems (why Fabio Cannavaro got sold to Juve I will never know). And Ryan Giggs can join him.

And in January Juan Veron will sign a permanent deal to stay at Inter, although I think he is vastly over-rated.

doesnt sound like u expect too much there craig, if giggs was to leave man utd why would he choose inter, he could go to a much bigger club like AC, Juve or Real....

Bigger pay packet?

For starters he would solve the club's left sided problem. All they have to do is take Mihaljovic, Recoba, Materazzi out the back and shoot them (ok maybe not shoot them, but get rid of them).

Would Giggs be a certain starter at those three clubs as he would Inter?

The XI could look like this if they got Campbell and Giggs:

--------------------Toldo------------------

---- J.Zanetti - Cordoba - Campbell - Favalli/Coco-----------------------

---- Veron - Cambiasso - Stankovic - Giggs------------------

---------------- Adriano - Vieri/Martins-----------------------------

On paper a good side IMO (Davids is going like ****)

They will probably stay, but I live in hope.

But if Campbell wants to stay at Arsenal it looks like he will have to take a pay-cut in his wages,
