Have to agree there - although a few minor quirks (like a cross from the goal line going over the keeper and in).
Seaman. :p

WRT it being too hard, that's a good thing (CM03/04 was too easy) but I'm not finding it to be that hard tbh.

Or an obvious few - for instance St James Park last weekend, and morre importantly the Arsenal game 3 weeks ago...
I don't know what you saw in St James Park last week, unless you completely ignored the replays. There was a long time between the small contact there was, and the fall.

Arsenal game I still can't comment on, but considering Neil defended the referee, that was probably a 50/50 decision.

I have FM 2005 - I think anyone on here who has it will testify that it is far superior to 03/04.

First time I've actually watched the action on the 2D pitch and thought it looks realistic football.

i am a massive fan of cm4 and cm 03/04 and i FINALLY got the game, and so far i think once i get used to the new skin and stop looking for all the buttons i will be quality.......

I have a question: Would Alvaro Recoba be one of, if not the most highly paid footballer in the world?

I worked out his annunal salary which is at an astonishing (sp) 6m euros a season, or approx, 115,348 euros a week, and he isn't that great (he's fourth choice striker at Inter) and definatly winner of most over-paid player ever.

I've now all but finished five seasons on Football Manager 2005 (including two non-stop on Friday and Saturday).

2004-05: Third in Conference, lost to Morecambe in Playoff Semis
2005-06: Fifth in Conference, lost to Northampton in Playoff Semis
2006-07: Third in Conference, lost to Lincoln in Playoff Final
2007-08: Second in Conference, lost to Nuneaton in Playoff Semis
2008-09: Top of Conference by 16pts with five to play. Hallelujah...

It's a fantastic (if life-eating and prone to making you angry) game.

All I saw at St James' Park last weekend was a wonderful Cup upset...

How much does it retail over in the UK?

I'm looking at paying $60-70 for it over here. Maybe I will ask for it for christmas...

Has that ever been prone to confussion by those who don't support football that a lot (I mean don't really football a lot, but know who David Beckham, Thierry Henry, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Roberto Carlos, Raul, Real Madrid, Man Utd etc. are)?

Haha I know what you mean.

I am slightly annoyed at Liverpool, Parma, and Roma at the moment. In saying that I was able to buy Frank Lampard for only 3.3m (with Fabio Cannavaro going to Chelsea in return).

Not really. It's reserved for pub quizzes and bad jokes on the part of Grecians.

Oh yeah.

Surprise surprise that I picked Inter as my team to manage, I have managed to sell about four of my players to Chelsea, while CSKA Moskow get trying to give me that Ollic guy, who I had signed, but the deal fell through because I had signed Mark Viduka instead.

I have just played a few friendlies, now, I'm adjusting to it.

I have just got Ricardo Carvalho from Porto for around 5m, they turned my bid down for Paulo Ferriera.

Interestingly enough, on my game, Nicolas Anleka has moved to Man Utd, from Citeh, Owen Hargreaves has joined Arsenal from Bayern Munich.

And for the hell of it I signed Leo Fortune-West.

I've finally managed to drag City out of the Conference in my fifth season, and after seven games (and six wins), I'm top of League Two.

Bodø/Glimt 6 Viking 0.

Broke a fairly dismal streak of about 5-6 without a loss, too. Am seventh, but the supporters are "100 % behind me" :)

Hurray the French mercs flop in Europe against poor opposition again. Gonna be so funny if they fail to make the knockout stages after being in such an easy group.

PSV are arguably as good as anything in Uniteds or Chelsea's group, also to hold them to 1-1 when you are down to 9 men has to be considered a good result.

Lauren was an absolute **** im glad he got sent off though i hate people that try to get other people booked. Viera was unlucky. I expect them to get through easy, IIRC they might finish top if PSV slip up away.
