Suck on that, Liverpool.
Liverpool were appaling on the night, didn't think Manure were much above average, it wasn't a very high quality match.

United had a decent first half but the only player who impressed me was Ronaldo, and he's still a ****

So who then gets Gerrard's spot in the England team?

Give Dyer a chance in his prefered position in the centre of midfield, or put Beckham there and start Wright-Phillips on the right, like Real Madrid do (obviously it is Figo instead of Wright-Phillips).

So it would look like this:

Beckham - Dyer - Lampard - Bridge (or somebody else who could play there, but Bridge is apparently doing a good enough job)

or;

Wright-Phillips - Beckham - Lampard - Bridge (reason explained above)

Dyer is injured and has never done it for England.

For me, Nicky Butt steps in and the rest stay where they were.

An alternative would be to drop Bridge as well and play a narrow 3 with Joe Cole / Wayne Rooney behind the front two.

i think Erikkson loves the 4-4-2 too much, so it will probably be Butt.

would love to see Hargreaves given the chance there though

and drop Beckham :p for Wright Phillips :)

If you had your way, would anybody else have taken a gamble and picked Shaun Wright-Phillips and Jermain Defoe for Euro 2004?

They would have fitted the role as impact players off the bench when the opposition are tiring. Like the QF against Portugal or in the Group match against France, when England were trying to defend their 1-0 leads, and England had the match won, it would have been worth a go.

Out of interest when was the last time Michael Owen had a big game for England? Must be a while.

Wright-Phillips, no (never played before)
Defoe, probably yes.

However neither would've been the player to bring on when 1-0 up in those games.

When was the last time he had a big game period? (cause the last i remember was the 5-0 win over Germany, thou i never watched many 'pool games).

Ferdinand's back and Rooney's only a few games from coming back.Arsenal can't afford to slip up as Chelsea and ManUtd are right there.

The passing by Chelsea was appalling (sp) against 'Boro last night. Until Drogba scored, I sersiouly though 0-0 here we come - again.

Who wants to be a football manager? Roma lost 3-1 to Bolonga and Voeller is already offering to quit, just 26 days into the job after their original manager quit because his wife is unwell.

Seeing this, you would have to think Ferguson's mark of 700 games in the top flight with the one club (which will be well more close to 800), is probably never going to be broken.

Chelsea yes, but there's no pressure from Manure.

Another "interesting" decision yesterday to help them get 3 points...

Ferdinand coming back has made a real difference already. We look a lot more solid.

As I said before, with him in the side we're every bit as good as them - it's just a case of whether we have to much to make up.

I don't care what anyone says - it was a penalty IMO. Pulling the shirt is a penalty.

Bad decisions even themselves out over time, anyway. No-one says anything when Ar$ehole get a lucky one.

So you admit it was lucky.

Pulling the shirt is a penalty offence but if they are both pulling each others shirts (as they were) what do you do?

Follow the Fergie code: If in doubt, go with the reds.
