Whereas Manure players just chase the referee around the field, thus disrupting play and the resulting disruption causes the penalty to be missed.
How can you say that?! He may well have missed it anyway!

Eyes not spreadsheets
And he may not have done.

The thing is he was most definitely unsettled by the needless delay that didn't even get punished.

As was Dunn a couple of season later (when the slaphead should've walked)

Have to say, you fit all the stereotypes.

Oh yes, Manure have to put up with rarely conceding penalties at home, and even then the ref not sending off the slaphead keeper who then uses gamesmanship to delay the penalty which he then saves.
Be fair, Marc.

Man Utd have a penalty awarded against them at Old Trafford every 7 years whether it's deserved or not.

6-2.

And by the way, how many penalties at Highbury in the last 7 years to the other team?
Don't know.

Does it hurt you now to have to bow and worship a scouser?

Stats from 1999 to 2004:

Five penalties scored against Arsenal at Highbury
Two penalties scored against Man Utd at Old Trafford

Compare that figure to about 15 penalties scored by Man Utd at OT...

PENALTIES CONCEDED AT HOME BY PREMIERSHIP CLUBS
Man Utd: 3 penalties conceded
Chelsea: 5 penalties conceded
Arsenal: 6 penalties conceded
Newcastle: 7 penalties conceded
Liverpool: 9 penalties conceded
Charlton: 13 penalties conceded
Correct to Christmas i think

Interesting. That's a 3 penalty difference, across 7 years. Which is a half a penalty a year difference. Which is hardly any difference.

What actual time period is that over Dave, and what's the number of penalties awarded?
Dunno. Just pulled it from some forum where Man U fans and Arsenal fans were arguing - there doesnt seem to be any data on the net - There is no Footinfo sadly

Ah well, another great result for the Manure today :p

Arsenal won again, easy win, though Lee Hendrie's actions were disgraceful

That might be it.

I can foresee an unlikely scenario where we do the double over them but they still win the league...whether we do the double over them is highly unlikely also.

Ooh Pessimism in the ranks of the Manure, i'm not so sure its over myself, though a draw or Arsenal win next week might help me make my mind up
