GO LIVERPOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Right in the face of those who said Liverpool wont regain past glory in the near future...

The happiest moment in my life - Dudek saving the Shevchenko hit...

Steven Gerrard is god...the whole game,he was in it,he was so so great, certainly one of the best players in the world, inspiring and influencing a whole lot of players....

Just a figure of speech...and anyway I still cant wipe the smile off my face...

Wish I'd been in Liverpool to celebrate instead of waking up here at 12 30 in the morning in India and watching on TV...or even better I'd rather be in Istanbul :D

i agree mate you should be able to defend your trophey, be interesting to see what fifa do now...............
FIFA don't give a toss, it's a European competition, after all.

UEFA will probably be stubborn, and so will the FA. The FA are trying to put Liverpool's place on the line so that UEFA sees the ridicule in not having the champion, and also so that they get five spots in the CL...

Something I've always wondered...imagine Arsenal were in the Champions League final against, say, AC Milan. Do Man Ure supporters root for the English team or the foreigners?

Smicer is still a poor player, even poor players score occasionally.
not from 20 yards or so, smicer may not be amazing by any means, but hes a darn sight better than poor.

althought that was indeed a fantastic moment, if thats the happiest moment of your life mate then i worry, im an avid football fan and support arsenal to great lengths, but you have to realise that it is only just a game.

Believe me...Dudek is a great keeper...one of the finest ever to play in Holland, he just have had a rough time overthere...

Pele was great, Dudek is a fairly poor Premiership keeper who makes tons of errors - he made at least one in the CL final but fortunately got away with it.

Why does suddenly Pele feature there?...even so Dudek is not by any means 'poor' GK,not great either but c'mon give the guy some credit...everyone makes mistakes...nobody ever says a striker played badly because he missed 2 easy ones and scored one...but I feel for the goalkeepers who have to play 'perfect' for the entire game and even if they do let one goal in,they're made to feel bad

The two saves he made in a row right at the end of the second period of extra time were impressive to say the least - off the Russian with the long name starting with S (couldn't be bothered looking up the spelling!)

Pele was mentioned because of someone as usual throwing the word 'great' around to describe a below average Premiership player, I was giving an example of the proper context of the word. Dudek is a below average Premiership keeper and so it follows that he is poor. You need to look at the percentages before comparing a keeping error with a striker error. A striker might have a 60% (or whatever, I remember the real Motson saying that if you looked at all the one-on-ones ever the odds were 1 in 5...) of scoring a one-on-one, if he misses it's hardly comparable with Dudek failing to catch and indeed fumbling the ball on something that would be caught 99% of the time.
